If seedling is rooted in rockwool cube; do you still put it in a small pot at first, or do you put directly into a large pot?
The cubes are the small 2" type. So i figured they needed to be put into soil after they are about a inch tall?
hi bud put them in small pots as you want to get a root ball established, as you know when repotted in whatever size of pot the roots will find everywhere possible to roam & quickly, but in a big pot they will roam to the edges & turn back on themselves, not establishing a proper rootball. so if you put into small pots the roots are restricted so will give you a nice rootball, then when you transplant into your bigger pots you have an established rootball which again will roam the new pot but the end result is you will have a bigger root system which equals a bigger yieldusing the full potential of your potsize. happy growing mate
