Where is the best place to put a seedling? Some websites say put them in direct sunlight others say DO NOT put them in direct sunlight. Which is right? Once a seed has germinated, can you just put the seed in the soil outside? (I like in the UK) Thanks.
soil outside usually has parasites. I recommend buying organic soil and put them in a pot. And lighting depends on if your an indoor or outdoor grower. If the temp is good you can grow outdoors. But if it's cold, you could use HPS/MH lighting or the cheaper root is using CFLs. any additional questions?
I live in an area where it snows, so the way I judge local planting time is by asking "Are the local markets putting out their 1 gallon/2 liter tomato plants yet?" That is when to plant your sprouts outdoors! Plants have always grown in full sunlight since there were plants! If you lived in Arizona, you would want to shade them, but in the UK? Not needed! The "not in direct sunlight" is for transplants going from indoor lighting to sunlight. THEY can get sun burnt and need a few days of being protected against the harsher sunlight. Granny
