Hello all i had a quick question about starting my seeds its not possible for me to get any light besides a 1000 watt hps (with cool fan attached to cool the light) or a regular 400 watt mh. My question is which one is better to start seedlings off with i know i will be keeping them further than usual but to what extent i dont want to stretch them but i dont want to fry at the same point.

^^^what he said. you wont be disapointed. your sure as hell gonna need that hps sooner than you think for the fun part of your cycle. cfl's are cheap and make for a good veg. but from what choices you said you had u said nothing about cfl's soooo go with the thowie HPS. jus if they are lil seedlings be sure not to stick them too close to the light and have a fan blowing on your plant cuz umm 1000 watts can dry some shit out. keep us posted gl.
