Hey everyone!! I'm growing for the first time and I think my seedlings a a little tall. Are they? Can anyone take a look and give me some input? Thanks!!
Yes they are stretching, when they are deep in a pot I find they stretch to the top of the pot, lower light but not low enough to feel heat on plant, I would add some dirt to the pots and bury some of the stem. I am no expert just offering my thoughts Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Looks good to me. But I like a stretchy plant. Like the previous post says add a little soil to the pot and bury it down maybe an inch more. And move your light closer.
Start seeds in a half filled cup then when they stretch (they almost always do) you just add more soil and they are good to go. Keep the light close. T5HO or CFL can be 1 inch away and not burn unless the leafs actually touch the lamps. BNW
I agree with BrassNwood. You have room to add more soil. It is reaching for light, but at this stage it's hard not to stretch. If left alone, it will become top heavy and fall over. New roots will grow from the stem if buried with dirt.
and if you can add a bit more perlite to your soil/potting mix it'll help a lot against over watering as well ...mac,,
