i have 5 65w 5500k fovitec cfls and a oscillating fan it’s been about 36 days and not much growth has been made
I gave them water for the first week everyday but they are still too small to use any nutes and the stalk has turned red

  2. Soil looks pretty dry in that pic, and even if youre in soil with nutes already in it 2 weeks is more than enough time to start feeding

  3. How often should I use nutes I’m using fox farm big bloom

  4. You have no perlite/drainage
This is why your seedling is growing so slowly mate
You will not need any nutes yet - She is only 2 weeks old!
You need to transplant her into a new (larger) pot with 40% perlite (min). Then watch the growth explode.
Your new soil should have enough food for your plant for the next 3 weeks or so.... Then start grow nutes.
    Good luck.

  5. Fox farms probably has a reccomended alternation of mixed water and straight water, personally i give straight phd water every 3rd watering

Sorry mate, that's poor advice! You should not need to feed anything barring root stimulator for the 1st 3 weeks at a minimum , (unless your plants asks for it!) ......then crack on with grow nutes etc.

  7. im Completely new to this and I have really basic understanding

  8. A 2 week old plant can definitely be started out on 1/4 strength nutes weather you agree or not its facts my friend

  9. If OP is growing in organic soil (now or when he transplants) there is no need to PH his water.. it will naturally buffer within the correct PH range - you will also need to use organic nutrients!

    Completely un-necessary mate!
You are telling OP to use nutes 2 weeks into his grow... (have you seen the size of it?!) meaning he will more than likely run into issues...There is food in the soil!
No need what so ever to feed for the first few weeks - He will burn his plant if not worse.
    Why risk it?!
    Do some basic research mate
    Less is more!!!!

  11. I usually don't need nutes till about a month of veg, and that's in FFOF. Even then I start out at a very diluted strength.

  13. if the OPs soil comes with nutes already added the seedlings shouldnt need any feed just yet as the potting mix as already got nutes added and usually last for at least 3 weeks ,,but the plant needs more perlite as some else as stated ,for drainage ,,,plant does need watering too .potting mix looks really dry ,,,,mac,

  15. Fox Farms recommends you do their feeds "every other watering" in soil.
Those lower leaves are not healthy. There's something wrong with nutrient uptake. I'd say nitrogen deficient, but I'm not certain.
What is the pH of the water you've been giving this plant?
There is no harm in giving a 1 tsp/gal(128 oz) strength dose of Grow Big. Unless your pH is off, then you should get that under control first.

  16. Solo cups are for drinking from. They make the worst plant cups. To tall and way to narrow a base. Spend the 35 cents and buy some real plant pots. Square pots force better root branching and you don't wind up with a long coiled taproot in the base of the pot at transplant.

Get one of your CFLs down to 1 inch away from the top. CFLs have to actually touch the leaf to burn.
Big Bloom is just that BLOOM food.
Head back to the store and buy a bottle of Fox Farms GROW BIG.

This is the veg stage high nitrogen fertilizer.

<-- does big plants in small pots for vegging. They dry out fast and I can juice them far more frequently then a small plant in a huge pot.
I have a 10 week flower window so all the veg work has to get done in that time frame.
3 weeks to root a new clone leaves me 7 weeks to get them as big as possible before I flip them.

  17. > Says solo cups are bad pots for seedlings
    > "They're drinking cups, you'll get rootbound!"
    > Grow plants in wastepaper basket instead

  18. As my boy @BrassNwood said above, you want grow nutrients for the veg stage (when you plant needs them!) ...........the bloom nutes are used in flower mate.

  19. So I did the math and turns out these plants are 36 days old

I would focus more on how small and weak she is mate
You need to get her transplanted ASAP into a medium with decent drainage
    Then away you go.....
My girls (above) are just over 19 days from seed - No nutes will be given for at least another 2 weeks.
