Seedlings growing so slow

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Hayden2970, Mar 3, 2019.

  1. The seeds popped 7 days ago And I'm wondering if they should be bigger by now. They are in Fox farm ocean forest soil, I haven't been using nutrients until today. They are under a 1000 W LED light from Amazon I don't know. Humidity is always kept around 60 or 70. They get 18 hours a late 6 hours dark. I spray leaves when i can to give them moisture. Is the light too close or maybe not close enough? Could it be an old seed? Or am I just being paranoid? Just wondering if this is slow growth. Light is anout 16 inches or so away about.

use your temp gauge to decide if you need more heat

  3. Yes, what vostok said. Also. A few 6400k CFLs would be better at this stage. I don't bring in the full spec LEDs untill they are a bit bigger. Maybe 2-3 nodes at least. Spraying leaves is not a great idea. Or nutes at this age. That clear container is a bad idea too. Roots want dark. But it's probably just temporary?? They look ok I guess. But no more nutes. Mix in lots of perlite when you up pot. And I personally would not spray leaves at this point. If u do, do it right before lights out or a hour before they come on. But, I don't see the point. Find out the par and correct distance for your light. Seedlings should have 400-600 PAR. I'd guess u may be too close but I don't see signs of that from the pics. Keep asking questions. They are alive now, keep them that way. Don't smother them with love. Just water every once and awhile and light

  4. Thanks guys. The fox farm bottle does say for seedlings but today was first day i did it and i figured id better ask. Yea im a new grower so i take advice on everything. I was under impression the leaves take in more water on leaves when they have small roots. Maybe that only for clones. But thanks guys

  5. Yeah. Clones need high humidity. Also, high humidity is good for seedlings. But you would be surprised how big the roots of a healthy 1 week old seedling are. Plants look ok so far. Don't over think it

  6. Thanks man

  7. ya think they might benefit from an extra 6 hours of light? I know where you can get one just like you have for free. (it's just sitting there being unused.)
