Seedlings dying

  1. I found these pics online and I'm wondering what the problem is.

They're apparently 21 days old and started out fine. After about 7 days spotting appeared on the older leaves and started creeping all over.

The person went to an "expert" at the hydro store and the expert figured it might be a mold and suggested a spray. ( I understand, snake oil and all that)

From what I can tell they were sprayed thoroughly on day 14-15 and again on day 21.

Any Ideas or input is welcome.
