Heyo, 5 days since sprout, should I be worried about this? Bag seed from a good strain that just happened to have a seed every few bags. Light cycle is 24/7, FFOF is the soil, soil is damp but not wet, lots of drainage in the cup, plastic bag dome with slits on top/sides to keep humidity good but still about 7 inches of head room above the plant, watered twice since sprout, water is tap left out over night to let off chlorine and ph balanced to 6. Light is 35w cfl about a foot above the plant. Had it at about 6” from the light but thought maybe this was light burn, so I moved it to a foot 12 hours ago. No change in the order plant. Should I move it further away? Maybe it’s time to lose the bag?

Thanks for reading and taking the time to reply

  2. IMO: add 30% perlite that FFOF is way too hot

a small fan and temp gauge does wonders

    but hey! its bagseed..?

    good luck

  3. Thanks, @vostok! Yeah I'm not losing a ton of sleep over a bag seed, but I really enjoyed the strain and would love to have access to it regularly if I could. Not something I can just go out and buy where I live unfortunately.

When you say FFOF is "too hot" do you mean that the nutrient content is too high? Could that be causing the strange leaf behavior? I'll pick up some perlite and will mix that in with my FFOF, does it make sense to repot this one with the new mix in a bigger pot right away?

When you said hot it actually clicked in my head that I had seen this type of leaf problem before in plants that were in an environment with too much heat. They look kinda like this:

Could heat be the issue for the upward clawing?

Thanks again for replying, really cool to chat with somebody who's had some much experience!

  4. When you say FFOF is "too hot" do you mean that the nutrient content is too high? ..=Yes

your leaves tho similar to excess heat are in fact nute burnt ..repotting to a dilute mix is the easy way

leaf curled margins like the btm pic above is an atmospheric issue ...to dry and too hot

tho also your plants are suffering from the 'death vally effect' of too little soil

and the air in their is way above temp too....so yes you are correct add more soil or again repot!

    good luck

  5. @vostok thanks again! Will grab some perlite today and repot.
