No such thing as a stupid question brother (Well, there are exceptions) I imagine it's quite common. I've had it happen 3 times in 5 grows. You can spray/mist the seed husk and soften/moisten it so that it falls off. Sometimes just the water hitting it will knock it off. If it doesn't, you can VERY carefully pry it open and pull it off. But I'm talking micro surgery and being extremely careful. From the 3 times it happened to me, only 2 survived so be aware that it could also go bad.... It happens to me all the time - 3 out of 4 last time. Simply mist it with water to soften the membrane and gently pry it off with a toothpick or tweezers. I have never lost one. Good luck.
