Seedling Sick Please Help

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Kaptain Stealth, Feb 1, 2011.

  1. I have a seedling on day 8 and it has brown spots on its only true set of leaves. The next set hav just started to pop out but have stopped. Idk what is wrong so please help if you can.
I am growing in coco coir with perlite, bout 70/30
It is indoors in a box in my closet.
The strain is Tangerine Dream from Barney's Farm
The plant is on day 8 from sprout.
I have one led panel that is 14 watts and 2 6500k cfls that are 26 watt each.
Led is about 4-5 inches from top and cfls are about 6-7 inches from the back side.
I read that I was supposed to keep the top moist for the seedling until it got into like week 2 or so, so I made sure it was moist. I fed it with drinking water ph'd about 6ish. Then I watered with a drop of superthrive and half a teaspoon of epsom salt per cup of water, also ph'd at bout 6ish. I flushed after that because I was thinking that caused the problem, but after 2 days there has been no improvement.
Temps stay around 76-90, 90 because i ddnt turn my small fans on but not it stays around 76-80.
I cant upload pics because they are already uploaded in my journal so if you can take a look at that, it has a daily update of everything I have done so that might help the diagnosis. Ask me for any other info you need and Ill try to provide it. First Grow One Plant Tangerine Dream in my sig

  2. Honestly looks like your doing too much for the plant and its not liking it. Just leave it alone and let it grow . the more you touch and tweak it up the more its shield for sickness breaks down. Just leave it alone for a few days and stop worrying about it so much and if she doesn't come back it could be a deficiency of some sort.

  3. Thanks for the reply man. I understand what your saying, I just tried helping it out as much as I could but I guess its backfiring. So I should leave it alone, how many days should I wait before I try feeding it a bit?

  4. you need to ph your feed water at 6.8, 6.0 is way to low for soil. never let your temps get over 80. ideal is 78 with 70 with lights off. Things dont change overnight with spots and such. It should look healthy but spots are not going to just go away. Like said leave it and dont baby it to death. no epsom water only drop of superthrive is fine.

  5. Im using coco so the ph at 6 is ok. If it was soil then yes it would be too low but its coco. Do you think i should raise the ph a bit even if its coco?
