Seedling Not Growing

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Rookie.Grower420, Mar 29, 2019.

  1. First time grower, i have 5 plants right now 4 of them look healthy but im not so sure about the 5th plant. The root of the plant is growing and it sprouted 2 tiny round leafs. But it didnt sprout like the other 4 plants. Is my 5th plant dying? I did tamper with it i was being impatient and dug up the seed gently before sprout could that be the problem? Is my seedling dying or just growing funny?

  2. Need pics. I can’t find my crystal ball at the moment.

The first one is the plant having trouble and the 2nd pic obviously is the one growing correctly

  5. Maybe a bad seed, give it time.

Also, are you growing in mulch and bark? Too many sticks for my taste.

  6. I got some soil shit called vigora or something but i just received a package from amazon of some better soil called fox farm imma use it for when i transfer the seedlings to a bigger pot. But like i said i was stupid enough to tamper with the seed during germination and idk if thats the issue

  7. If no one else will say it, then I will. If you want to take this hobby seriously, get rid of that soil. It will cause you nothing but problems. A good rule of thumb: if it has bark in it, it’s not good for cannabis.

  9. That’s kind of a trick question. I would normally recommend transplanting them immediately to get them out of whatever they are currently in, but if you put small seedlings into FFOF, there is a good chance your seedlings will be affected negatively by the hotness of the FFOF. It’s hard to say. Some strains will be okay but others will not.

What a lot of people do is cut the FFOF with 50% Happy Frog. The Happy Frog is more suitable for seedlings and small clones.

What nutrients are you going to be using? Have you chosen a line of nutrients yet?

  10. You can transplant the seedling in better soil. FOX FARM soil is good. I use the FF nutrient line.

Move those babies out of that shit bark mulch crap.

  11. Ok so heres my set up, again im new to this so dont think im like stupid or anything i just don't know much about growing but i am very interested

5 - 5 gallon clear container tubs for the transfer

A big ass bag of fox farm soil for the transfer

6 clamp lights but i need to get more bulbs asap but im not sure what bulbs to get right now i have 2 - 90w bulbs and 1-150w bulb. my local hydro store is charging me $500 for a set up and thats really out of my budget plus its my first grow and it doesnt have to be absolutely perfect. I can prob afford $150-200dollars more worth of supplies.

  12. How do i move them out of the mulchy shit without harming them? Should i just gentley dig out 2 inches of the soil then replace em in cups of the fox farm? Should i do this now its 1:30 a.m or can it wait till the morn the plants are about 5 days old

  13. I hope you aren’t going to grow in clear containers, are you?

  14. Do not grow in clear containers. Roots cannot and should not be exposed to light.
