Why are all but two of my seedlings leafs alot lighter green ? Iv read several places but still cant figure it out. If anyone has any advice it would ve greatly appreciated thanks.
Every seed has its own genetics, even if from same mother or strain. That is what people are referring to when they mention "pheno" or "phenotype". So out of 10 seeds you may have a few different phenos. Each 1 with slightly different traits. (Ex. Purple hues, leaf width, depth of green) Only extremely stable strains will hold true with almost every seed (but there aren't many i can think of)
Right that makes sense. Also forgot to mention the two darker middle plants are a week or so older than the others and i ended up changing light source and stunted them i think. All the others started the 2nd set of true leafs alot sooner and all seeds from same mother
Yeah they quit growing for about 4 days or so. So im guessing they dont look bad then? All im doin is watering them when the soil gets dry a cm or so below the surface no nutes but there is some in the soil i used. Thinking about using some without added nutes and adding it myself when i transplant outa the cups
They look fine. Don't worry about the nutes yet. Let them grow until the cotelydon leaves start to yellow more. Once they need to transplant from the cups, they will be ready for soil with nutes anyways. What do you plan to use?
To be honest man i really dont know yet. I came across some good seeds and it was a spur of the moment deal. I have had time tho to get me grow cabinet set up with fans lights and mylar lined inside. Right now there in a cardboard box with a pc fan on it to pump out old air and fan on top to strenthen the stems and get rid of hot spots. Im on a really tight budget and just trying to learn and hopefully get some bud out of it. Is there a soil at wal mart that will work? Also should i invest in ph strips and ph up and down? Im sorry so many questions this is the first time iv done this. This is the soil i have em in now
