Strain: Sweets Seeds Cream Mandarine Fast Version
    Light: 124w (true) led, 18/6 on/off
    Nutes: None
    Growing Medium: 70 Canna Coco/ 30 Perlite
Watering every other day with filtered, 5.6ph water, 150ppm, to 20% runoff.
Cal/mag+ (.5ml/lt) added every other water
    Temps: 72f-84f
    RH: <25%

So I'm thinking I have something going on with my seedlings. The leaf margins are starting to curl up and the leaves themselves are starting to point upwards. Any thoughts or helpful ideas? The light is positioned 18" above the seedlings. The seedlings are 8 days old.

  2. I recommend you transplant them to their final pots and get the light closer. They might want a tiny bit of fertilizer soon if you're sticking with coco.

  3. Thanks for the reply! I actually raised the lights 6" because I thought it was too much for them. So you think lower than 18"?
Going to start them on fert in 2 days. AN Sensi Grow at 1ml/Lt, along with some Voodoo Juice.

  4. You bet.

I'm guessing 18" would be fine though I don't know anything about your particular light, other than the draw. You're going to need a lot more light for 4 plants. They just seemed a little tall for their current leaf status but not a big deal. Be sure you have a gentle breeze on them so they can develop with strong stalks. I don't know anything about those nutes but definitely start very low and pay attention to how they respond before you increase.

  5. Thanks again! The light is a 300w Roleadro 2nd gen, full spectrum. I have 2 of them and also a Mars 300, 2 450 (200w true) Viparspectras, 2 other 300w panels, and 6 Cree CBX3070s for a DIY project I'm doing.
I had a desk top fan blowing on them but I turned it off today because with it on, I can't get my humidity around my plants above 25%.

  6. heat burn and light stress, also keeping your ph down in the 5's could end up causing lockout

  7. Thanks for the reply. The light was at 18" and they keot stretching, so I lowered down to 12"...now it's back to 18" and they stretching again.
Down in the 5's? I thought with coco you wanted to be around 5.5 -5.8. Is that not correct?

So I swapped the light out with a 450w (200w true) and I'm just using the veg side (100w). Light is 18" above the seedlings. We'll see if conditions improve.

  9. they definitely look happier :)

  10. Thanks...that photo was taken a few minutes after installing the new light.
Here they are 12hrs later after being in the new light:

  11. They seem to be doing a little better. Increased the ph to 6.0 and gave them a feeding of .5ml/lt of Sensi Grow.
