Seedling is flowering

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Ihaveabear, Jan 20, 2022.

  1. Hello, I have about 15 plants I grew from seeds. One started flowering right at the 5th node. They are all still babies in early veg. Very strange. No light leaks. No other issues for any of my other plants.
    Genetics?
What do I do from here?
I also have some cuttings that seem to have bug or nutes issues, maybe wind burn? Not sure because I have never tried cuttings before, not sure what to expect. No bugs detected at *30 loupe. Any ideas etc?
    Thanks. IMG_0108.JPG IMG_0107.JPG IMG_0106.JPG

  2. Light schedule?

  3. Autoflower seed mistakenly packaged.
    Genetic flaw.
Discard and chalk it up as a bad seed. You have 14 winners.
    =============
Cuttings as in Clones? Mine always get rough looking before they root and start to turn around.

  4. Where did the seed come from? I bought seeds, two varieties, that are listed as photoperiod but started flowering under 24 hour light.at 3 weeks. They came from “Grower’s Choice Seeds.

  5. Yes cuttings as in clones, thanks.

  6. MSNL seeds. I will never buy from them again. They sent me old seeds that did not sprout (50% success rate). These were just all of my left over seeds from them from my fridge.
I do 18-6 period. My understanding is that seeds need some dark/rest time, but I have never tried 24 hour cycles so am just going by what I was told.

  8. Ive had a seed plant I've made go to bloom like that- figured it was recessive genes and I chucked it cause I wasn't gonna take care of the random out of sync plant.
Clones can look pretty rough, getting them breathing is always a bit of a kick start which a few leafs can looks like shit and a reason to make more than you need.
However if your first picture is your clone, it should be way past that point and I think your reaching the point of having plants in too small of potters- that is if your not going to be hydro feeding them.
Or you got some issue in your with your media. What are you feeding them? What are you growing in as media, you got plans on staging them- what size potters? How big are you trying to grow em?
Clones don't have the resilience of a seed plant, also prone to major issues from over watering.

  9. do you have a good success rate with your cuttings ? just wondering if you cut on a 45 i noticed the 1 laying there was not

  10. I get about 70% to root in the time frame allowed. 10-15 days is my preferred window. Most will eventually root but they would be to far behind the rest of the set so I usually discard the rest if they don't root fast enough. Unless it's that one off surviving Clone I just have to baby along and save.

No 45 degree stuff. I just cut them to length and dip in cloning gel then into a cube and pack the hole around the stem with some wool scraps.

  11. The first picture I posted was a clone, the second was from a seed and it looks like they both have the same leaf issue. I think I cut my clones too big, about 6-7" long (first time). They are only about 8 inch long now. I added more pictures to show (grew more seeds about 2 weeks later, because of my unexpected low clone success rate)
My grow room ceeling height is 7'. My flowering plants can get up to 5 1/2', so if my veg plants get between 3' and 4', I am happy, because I can always bend them more as they stretch. IMG_0122.JPG IMG_0121.JPG IMG_0120.JPG IMG_0119.JPG

  12. I only got 5 clones out of 28 :-(

  13. 18/6

  14. Right, so what's the next size potter your planning to put them in?
    When?
    What are you feeding?
I say that cause some of those light yellow looking leafs look a bit hungry IMO.
Clones can be tricky business if you try rushing them without good infrastructure and working knowledge of what your doing between holding your ppm and pH while holding them in a low air circulation/high humidity so they have time to become zombie plants... Lol I mean beautiful plants....
Don't get me wrong you can do this with a plastic bag, a warming light and a low house light, still infrastructure.

  15. i get 99%

  16. And they look ugly at first 14 days with clonex a heat pad and peat pods

  17. What strain? I have some growing myself. Took clones 5 days before flipping the light and still got buttons on my clones IMG_20220118_191245574.jpg

  18. My clones are Stardawg and Zkittles, my seeds are all my left overs from my fridge, Big blue cheese, AK 47, Caramelicious and Purple Kush.
    what are buttons?

  19. Pre flowers

  20. I have them in 4 inch pots and will switch them to 1/2 gallon pots once the roots circle up at the bottom, then will transfer them to 7 or 10 gallons grow bags.
I am feeding them general hydrophonics. I add a little front row silica until week 4 of flowering and myco jordan root stuff until week 2 of flowering. I also add a little hydrogene peroxide to help with drainage and kill potential fungus gnat larvae in soil.
I am feeding 1/2 of what it asks. Not sure if I was feeding them too little (just started feeding) or if I over watered as lower leaves died. I think I over watered
