  1. ok, this is my first grow and so far i have my a few seedlings now.

they just popped out of the soil in a few days and now the seed casing is still on the potential leaves. should i leave it, or knock it off.

also, when are the seedlings ready to be placed under CFL's?
    thanks.

    pics coming soon

  2. Put them under a CFL right now! Put it a few inches away from them so they won't have to stretch for the light.

Let them grow for a few more days before trying to gently take off the seed casing. It usually comes off with time.

  3. ok so, overnight the seedling just about doubled in size.

it was ina plastic bag, damp soil, and in my deep dark closet.

now its time for the CFL, its under the light about 4 inches.

but my next question is, when should i transplant it?

    - it doesnt have as deep of soil as others i ahve seen in the red party cups.

my seedling has about 2.5 inches of soil.

can i carefully transplant it to a larger pot so i dont ahve to worry about the roots?

This is my plant this morning :hello:

  4. Turbo, How close is your light? You want it as close as possible without any heat..

    Good Luck

  5. well now its closer, and in a much nicer pot.
id say the bulb is about 3 or 4 inches from the tip.

  6. looking good mate.

leave the seed case on as its important the cotlydones appear. as they store the nutrients for your first shoots to appear then the cotlydones will die (turn yellow & eventually fall off)when their job is done.

you can tease them off but usually they will pop off themselves.

    happy growing:smoking:

  7. thankss,
but when it gets more into the VEG growth, is my lighting sufficient?

its a 27 watt CFL. daylight. and 1300 lumens.

i should probably use 2 or 3 of these when it gets biggger??

    :devious:

  8. during the veg period which is about a month long depending on the strain your going to need at least 2000 lumens...i have 5000 on 2 plants and im going to be switching to about 7500 lumens for the flowering period, but 5000 would suffise. Just remember the more light the better!!

    Good Luck!!!

  9. deffinately , thanks for all your input guys.
