Seed still germing, solo cup got tipped over

  1. This morning I was messing around with my grow box when I dropped a pvc elbow onto my solo cup that is germing a seed in the soil. I picked the cup up, took off the saran wrap, and with tweezers I carefully picked around until i found the seed. The good news is i saw a taproot, and poking the seed just a liiiiitle it seemed to be stuck pretty good in the soil.

My question is do you guys think the cup tipping over and the dirt being moved around like that will have an adverse effect on the seed sprouting? It was probably like a mini earthquake to the seed.

  2. Time will tell. wait a few days before yo make any decisions.

  3. I hope its okay! what strain is it?
I'm starting a grow thread, check it out :D put mine in soil yesterday, been 27 hours and it still hasn't broke the surface of the soil...

  4. Most likely knocking it over didnt do any damage at that stage.

  5. Hope you had the decency to plant it in a RED Solo Cup.....

You'll probably be fine, just don't poke it anymore.
Three days to germ is quick, don't worry if it's a week.
If two weeks go by, it's probably dead.
If a month goes by, put it into a blue or yellow cup and have a simple, tasteful little ceremony, close friends and family only.

  6. Thanks for the replies. Good news! It sprouted last Monday. I started up a grow journal if you wanna check it out.
