Seed getting fuzzy??

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Nasty8826, Aug 7, 2018.

  1. My seed is getting little hairs on it when I soaked it. Is this bad?

  2. Yeah that's fungus. Add a tsp of 3% peroxide to your water that will sort it for 2-3 days.

  3. @STIGGY just brought to my attention that if your seed has popped a root you don't want it soaking for any longer and you definitely don't want peroxide touching that root.

If the root is out you can add some mykos to the spot you're gonna bury it and it might help but you gotta plant it. If you're getting fungus after it emerges try diluted neem and later some diluted peroxide

  4. It hasn't popped any root just started growing fuzzy not sure if I should plant it and see what happens or let it soak but I put peroxide in the water already lol this is my first order from gyo and having more trouble getting roots to pop than ever and it sucks cuz everything else was great until I tried to use the fuckn seeds

  5. Increase the ratio of peroxide a bit and wip the seed thoroughly with a towel and take a small sharp bladr and very gently scratch a thin lime on the seed shell.

  6. And put back in distilled water after? Or wet paper towel?

  7. Up to you. I prefer the towel method because I can control how moist it is.

After soaking the towel I wring it out until it no longer drips when squeezed the add a bit of peroxide to the towel to make sure.

  8. Ok sounds good thanks for your quick help!

  9. No problem. Would definitely get some mycos. Helps a lot in germination and the grow.
