Seed fell straight to the bottom??

  1. Autoflowering Seed fell straight to the bottom of the glass when trying to germinate, sank like a rock is this ok

  2. You'll know if it germinates, eh? I've put seeds in water and had a few sink right away and I've had seeds that didn't germinate but I don't know if the sinkers were the ones that didn't germinate.

  3. Doesn’t mean anything. I’ve had both seeds that sink and some that float and some that have floated and then sank. All germinated.

  4. And what about the really tiny seeds way smaller than the rest that you sometimes getting a pack, are they worth sprouting, does the size of the seed say a lot about how it will develop?

  5. I’ve found no direct correlation between seed size and plant size. I do like to imagine the smaller seeds as having something to prove so they grow stronger. But that’s just me talking to the seedlings haha

  7. it does imply that theirs no air in the seed

    the air space that would be filled with water had the cells been activated

    I'd scarify the seed

    a light scrape with sandpaper to ensure the water enters the seed

    for some heavy Imbition over the next 8 hours
