  1. I used the water method to get em to pop but wen i transferred to soil they stoped growin or r takin for ever to break soil..

  2. Couple of questions, how deep did you plant them? How long was the tap root when you planted? How long has it been? And how much water did you put in?

Seeds dont have much energy to get out of the soil, planting too deep can be a problem.

If they are too deep try removing a bit of soil, if not do keep waiting it can just take some time before they pop

  3. I'm having the same exact problem. I would germinate in water, then transfer to papertowl. When the taproot got to be about a half inch, I put it in soil... but it never grew... I've been through 5 seeds and spent about a month back and forth to square one. I got some jiffy plugs today to try and get them started this way. If it works, ill let you know. Id hate to see somebody else have this same frustrating problem.

  4. I have never gone straight to soil I alway go to rapid rooters or rockwool first.

  5. I'm a noob I suppose. I have grown twice before, years ago. And both times I went to soil no problem. This time was a total failure. This is my first time using peat plugs. I don't know what rockwool is or how to use it.

  6. Yea i took some of the dirt away and sum are rooted but the others stoped grownin but dnt look dead. So i put those seeds back into the paper towel

  7. What I do is put them in water till they fall, then paper towel method till they just pop open. Then I take a pencil and poke a hole the size of the seed and put it root down. Just enough soil goes ontop to cover it, almost no depth at all. This gives me a seedling about two to three days after I put them in the water.

I then put a cfl close to the soil, the light and slight heat promotes growth.

Oh I water the soil first quite a bit, then put the seed in, then a few drips ontop of the seed area.

Only thing is sometimes the seed grows too fast and will stretch if you dont crack the seed. Only had this happen once.
