Second opinion on these portrait shots-

  1. I'm really not sure about these but I haven't posted pictures in a week or two and it's really crawling on top of me. :p

  2. In my honest opinion I think your model is a bit too camera-induced if that makes any sense. I think this is most apparent in the 2nd picture, as if shes leaning out to grab the camera's attention. Not trying to bash the model or anything, it's just a thought.

  3. I'd hit it.

    ohhhh, the pictures...

Portrait photography is my favorite type. There's an amazing book of all these crazy portraits from all over the world. Faces tell stories so well.

These are good. Did you shutter speed make the waterfall look all creamy like that? I love when that shit happens, did a whole series on it actually.

but yes, these are good. The first is very intense, showing a bit of her serious side while the second is a bit more playful. The third is my least favorite, a good shot, but it's one of those photographs that's comes out looking like a snapshot, dig?

good stuff man. Love your photography as a whole, btw.

  4. Thanks Ruse! Yea, I used a shutter speed of about 1/10 to get the water to expose like that. It's a trick I haven't had much practice with but I think I have down pat.

Vicious: I agree with you, she always claims to be very camera shy but loves to be included in a shot. I have strange models.

  5. P.S. Here's another shot that I should have used a longer shutter speed for but it would have overexposed it with the light conditions, even at f/22.

  6. Yeahhhh dude. that's what I'm talkin' about, gotta love that shit. It's really fucking cool if you do it with a hose, because it's not like a permanent water source.
