Second Grow

Like a lot of people on this forum I started with unknown seeds I'd saved from a bag or two for my first grow. It turned out to be White Widow & even under minimal lights and plain old water with a drop or two of Baby Bio I got 40grm(wet) from two fully grown plants. The biggest bud was 16ish grm & the top of the smaller plant was nearly 9grm

This time its serious LOL

The second set of photos are supposed to female be Bahia Black Head, I only planted two seeds and two sprouted.

The temp is between 75 & 85 & I have a small pc fan on gentle setting.

I bought liquid feed & I will transplanting into 10" pots in a week or two.

My first question is when should I start feeding them?

I am only growing/flowering under CFL in a 32"x40"x60" room. I will check what they are later if needed.

Second question. What is the best reflective material?

I have the choice between flat matt white paint or reversed tin-foil. (can't afford mylar or anything until next grow and I'd rather spend the money on lights)

I had to crop them a wee bit on the early side(bang on 8 weeks flowering)

I was pretty pleased with the result considering the plants got very little love and attention from me. Some of the very small buds are dry(ish) and it smokes ok.

Thanks Squidgey, I've bought 3 different types of liquid feed for each stage so I'll hang off another week at least before I start feeding them.

Im still shopping around but it looks like I'll have to go with either flat matt white paint or reversed tin-foil for this grow. Will it make a massive difference if I can get Mylar?

Thanks GrowBot, I think I'll go with flat matt paint for this one then & maybe splash out on something for my next grow and as I said I'd rather spend any extra cash on lights.

Well I finally got my camera back(thanks mic). As you can see things are moving on at pace now.

I gave Meena & Navid their first feed on Saturday, a very very week solution and it didn't do them any harm.

I've almost finished building the veg/flowering room. After reading about LST(thanks Dierwolf outstanding tutorial!) I cut down the final size to W80cmxD100cmxH100cm. I've still got to finish off painting, lights, vents, fans & doors but Im getting there.

I want to transplant the first two Bahia Blackhead Seedlings on Friday into their final pots.

Would 10" pots be fine or should I go bigger?

As you can see from the pictures I've started to pull down the stems, not much but a bit, I'll keep pulling them down during the week, they aren't growing very fast so I didn't want to pull them all the way on the first day. I hope Im doing this right?

BTW the buds from my first grow are dry & Im learning to cure some of them now, not a bad smoke for a first effort, it gave my mate Mic the munchies anyway.

 

Thoughts?

The "exaust" will eventually feed into the attic.

I can already see why people LST.

Repoting the big girls into 7 inch pots tomorrow.

Q1 Does my soil mix(pearlite/compost)look okay? it's 50/50 at the moment?

Q2 Should I water before or after I replant them into the next pot?

Q3 Temp 75-80f but the room is a wee bit wet on the inside, good or bad? Its been cold over the last few days though.

Cheers, did you repot your plants?

I moved my wee babes into their final home. Saving hard for Mylar, might mug a mate for the cash in exchange for a bud or two. That room is crying out for Mylar.

They are under 3x20w CFL's and I will add another 2 tomorow with a bigger shade, my mate steals*ahem*steel plate that does the job, its the best I can do for now, I'll order a grow light & shade next week(friday fingers crossed!).

I wasn't brave enough to repot or do anything to them, I may or may not repot over the weekend, but I feel a hangover coming on.
