  1. Guys, I think we should stop moving or deleting threads.

Yup. I rarely come here or post here because there is such a fine line between what goes here and what goes in apprentice. The mods seem to have very low tolerance to the point where I'd rather not risk looking like an idiot after my thread gets moved or closed.

Look at the front page... the only threads active are ones with lots of pages that have been around for a while... everything new gets moved or closed it seems. I wouldn't be surprised if they move this to the feedback forum..

  3. I don't even come to ST because of the horrible thread upkeep. Perhaps change the forum to "Seasoned Threads" cause it looks like there's no point in making new ones here.

I think, that its designed to be more so dead than alive, its for discussions, not massive inflows of new information.... plus, im sure 90% of the threads that pop up in here, are already in here and no one bothered to look. Just cause its old and you dont wanna revive it, doesnt mean you should go making a new thread about it...

Also, we get a TON of these exact threads, they turn into mod bashing arguments and people get infractions, then we close/delete the thread because it went no where

The idea is that Seasoned is a low key, discussion oriented location on here. I can GUARANTEE if people think a thread belongs here, it has a section it actually belongs in, or its already in here... thats just the fact of the matter.

We are working on stuff to try and just either, remove it all together and kinda blend it with other sections, or figure out a way to make it work... but, this is the way it is now, and until we change something, thats that. lol

EDIT: and by dead, i do not mean 0 activity, i mean, people are supposed to be discussing in the threads already here or finding new exciting, un-discussed things to make new threads about, that dont belong in a section already. When there are no new threads popping up, the section seems dead, but really people are just posting in the threads already at the top, because they are discussions, designed to stick around for a long ass time lol

  5. Then what is even the point of the forum? There is low key discussion all over GC in many different sections so if someone thinks something goes here you automatically relegate it elsewhere? sounds like a waste of time and effort on the part of the poster and the mods.

  6. Apparently there will be changes soon, also i heard they might remove seasoned all together to be honest it's a good thing, it seems everyone wants to think of them self as a seasoned toker so it's just a duplicate of apprentice tokers that's nearly impossible for the mods to moderate.

  7. There is no such thing as a "waste of time" for mods, what we do, we are told to do by the person who owns this site, and therefore it isnt a waste, its a necessity to keeping THEIR site, how they view it.

Like I said, seasoned isnt designed for new threads to keep popping up, AND most of those that do, dont even belong because they HAVE A SECTION ALREADY.

People are under the impression, you need multiples of the same threads, in different sections, as if everyone doesnt have access to the sections.... no, thats NOT the case.... for example, all the moved/closed/deleted threads on page one of seasoned right now, had no reason to be in seasoned. Let alone, a few of them, have been done a million times on here....

  8. Thats because everyone is too afraid to post something because you get all the assholes that say to move it to Apprentice.

  9. This, this is exactly my point....

Its called the seasoned tokers section, but i guess it could be translated to "mature (as in not being a fucking childish troll) discussion section" where people discuss, and are not bombarded with new threads and have to go back 15 pages to see a thread they posted in yesterday lol.....
But if according to its title, you HAD to be seasoned to post in it, then wouldnt you HAVE to be a patient, to post in the medical section... no, i dont think you do. Do you have to be an artist to post in the Artists Corner, nope....

People take the name as meaning "omg if i post in here i am a seasoned toker" no, its more just that, its for seasoned discussion, not immature ranting, not funny cat pictures, just discussions.... i really dont see why you guys put so much weight on this sections...

  10. There not ass holes there just pointing out the fact that it's in the wrong forum, it's not a crime for us to help out the mods every now and then is it ??

  11. Thats because those "assholes" are probably right, the thread probably didnt belong in seasoned.....

you guys seriously take this section way too seriously. There are a ton of sections to get your info across, if you find something new to discuss, and a search provides you with 0 results, it MAY be a seasoned thread lol

  12. This thread belongs in website feedback. lol It'll be hilarious if a mod moves it.

  13. Yep, so what do you think of it ?? are you for change frankly at the moment it isn't really working to well, the idea is great but it's how people are using it, also are you in favor of it being removed ?

  14. VIP forum is the real seasoned tokers, but that is so dead due to the small population (and I say we keep it that way) it cant replace seasoned. :(

  15. Im not going to move it (i already would have if i needed to) because as soon as i get the point across, im just closing this thread anyway. Its not like it needs to go on forever, whats done is done.

  16. Beat ya to it! I win :3

Move or close, both actions are mentioned in the OP, either will be hilarious if they happen to this thread.

  18. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job or whatever, sorry if it kinda came across that way. All I'm saying is the ST section as it stands just seems like a wasteland and it might need a work-over to remain relevant. It looks like you guys recognize this and are working on it. There MUST be something you guys can do with it to not only keep the site owner happy but also encourage people to actually visit the section, and I'm not sure if anyone is going to want to visit the section if the whole first page consists of bloated threads that you're required to read through 15 or 20 pages just to find what you're looking for. It's just inefficient.

:smoke: love you guys tho, it's a hard job and you can't ever make everyone happy so, of course, keep your boss happy! We're just voicing concerns.

  19. I honestly dont care

I'd say we get atleast 10 people saying this same thing every month lol... whether its through threads, or PM's to us.... its very constant, and they act as if seasoned is the ONLY place they can, or want to post, as if we dont provide a ton of other places to get stuff done lol

  20. Your right there, there's a ton of places where you can post simmilier information as you would post in seasoned tokers, i think i heard RMJL saying something about changes in a web site feedback thread.
