'No Easy Day,' Bin Laden Raid Book: Osama Was Unarmed

Note: I'm not attempting to promote this product. I'm just interested in hearing some opinions on the matter of its contents.

  2. The day that he and his colleagues killed bin laden was, for me, the best thing to happen since 9/11, so I'm definitely going to read it. It sounds like a good book, but the author is pissing off a lot of people, including other Navy SEALS and the White House - he may be in for some legal difficulties, if he revealed things that are supposed to be kept secret. The book is being publshed on Sept. 11, which is appropriate.

  3. best thing to happen since 9/11? like 9/11 was good, or am i readin somethin wrong?

  4. That was badly worded, I meant that the killing of bin laden was long overdue.

  5. got cha..

i mean i read your post and in context it just didnt make sense you were happy about 9/11.. so i figured i took it wrong

  6. If that story is true, then bin laden was probably taken out by a spook.

  7. 6 months later we find out this guy is some fake

  8. The 'assassination' becomes more of a myth, rumor, legend, and lastly a joke with each passing day.

  10. It was not an "assassination", it was the killing of the world's most wanted terrorist, a reprehensible proponent of suicidal jihad who vowed that he's never be taken alive. It was assumed that he would be wearing a bomb vest, which is what he advocated for members of his organization, so the NAVY Seals shot him in the head - which is what any rational person would do in such a situation.

  11. An assassination is the targeted killing of a public figure, usually for political purposes so it was an assasination, although not every assasination should be considered bad. Like, killing horrible terrorist organization leader = good, killing 14 year old girl = bad.

  12. So who the hell shot him before they entered the room?

    An intelligence spook.
Assuming the story in the OP is true.

  15. While bin laden was still alive, of his sons said that his father ordered him, and/or his guards, to kill him if he was ever in danger of being captured. Maybe it wasn't the SEALS that actually killed him, or possibly they just finished the job. Whatever happened, good riddance to him.

  16. Only if you're not a believer of blowback. Its a really easy concept to grasp. Even for you.

  17. I have a concept that anybody can grasp, even you: Ron Paul's career is over, and he's shooting his mouth off about himself because he's bitter that he lost. There is no way anybody can say for sure that if they were in charge 9/11 never would have happened.

  18. Its easy to stand in front of a mic and make bold claims

  19. Wow, bitter that he lost?

He could EASILY be more vocal about how the media treated him and his campaign. He had cspan for HOURS the other day and was positive the entire time.

    Bitter??

    Show me an example.
