  1. Hubbies favorite strain. But he is an energy miser and wants OD grow.

Last year got a late start, end of May, planted in 40G pots using Detroit Water only, and bubbled terp tea. Had massive colas, but hit a 2 week patch of 80-90% humidity mid-Sept.. Set up a pop up tent every night to shield from the dew, but wound up with bud rot on the big colas. Lost half my crop. 3 OG and 3 Green Crack . This happened at the end of Sept.

This year started May 1st. 5 OG and 3 WW freebies, topped in veg in hopes of smaller buds. (Hedging against another rot) The WW turned out to be hermies, so they went away.

5 OG now, 2 in water only soil and 3 in organic compost/dirt mix in the ground. They get so tall. you can't reach the tops to see whats up. Camping upnorth, a storm came and broke #3 labor day. They are planted on south side of a greenhouse for wind shelter and staked, but I had taken this one and opened out the branches for better sun/air. It made it more vulnerable to wind.

I didn't think about the spread of a topped plant needing different staking. Doh!

    So plant 3 is self-harvested.

My TCs mostly clear still, with many fan leaves having yellowed and trimmed and I haven't bothered with tenting, if the humidity is high it won't help.Buds are still skinny.

The early start did not forward my ripe time at all. I used 18/6 indoors to start them and panicked when setting them out because the light here on the longest day is shorter than that! Doh! I wondered if they would flower, and the WWs hermied then and went to flower. The glue was cool.

I wish I had used the felt pots, I could move them in the greenhouse and better manage the humidity but having a go with a more spread out structure and hoping for the best.

I always wonder to feed or not to feed if I have to make an emergency harvest. And I think up many hair-brained ideas for improving the humidity outdoors like a giant fan or even transplanting into pots and bringing inside.(8 feet tall) I know I can outsmart the sun and rain somehow. Looks like a good week of 50ish humidity and buds not swollen yet.

I get a tiny bit smarter every year. Here is hoping for the best while expecting to maybe lose it all. That's just the 2020 shit-show in a nutshell, right? No middle ground, either going to be fantastic or a pile of crap.

I did get enough last year to get him thru to August.

I know how to grow food, and build organic soil from wimpy dirt, and I do it by research and feel. I'm not able to be smart and nerdy about growing, so I just binge watch youtubers and read forums at the precipice of disaster. It is said that only at the precipice do people activate and rise up. You can't tell them, you have to show them. 17 said that. I think it's true.

    Love, MI Lady
