i dont understand how people can listen to screamo and heavy heavy metal when they are so mellow'd out...thats just me tho...im a very open minded person but i just cant grab onto that...any explanations?
Not super into metal or "sreamo" but I do like to get into some pretty hard punk shit when i'm stoned. Like if I'm on a head high from a sativa my energy level goes up thus I want the music to match how I'm feeling.
I've very selective about my screamo but I do listen to some I tend to like screamo without full out screaming but also vocalizing such as Alexisonfire
ugh i hate that genre, shit sucks...but i do enjoy some screamage, like korn tends to scream alot, but they do it differently, same with soad.. im a very chill person in life, but everyone has some aggressive, hostile hateful beast inside them too, better to let it out through music than in everyday life. idk depends what they are listening to if it was something like the scene metal bands like tdwp style i hate it but i love bands like abr more just for the instrumentals.

i think people make themselves like scene music to a certain extent. such tools. every new popular band that comes out these kids jump on, how many people find music that expresses themselves anyway? no, most conform to what every one else is listening to. edit: lol, i didnt even realize i actually typed such tools, that was a thought originally...wasnt supposed to get onto the screen..ill just leave it.
i agree. i cannot grasp the appeal. i appreciate the talent in the singers vocal abilty but thats it. it seems that its always the kids who are mad at thier parents that listen to that shit. *in screamo voice* AAAAAAH MY MOM MAKES ME TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE RAH!! MY DAD TELLS ME TO CLEAN MY ROOM! RAH!
Metal is an extremely diverse genre which serves many tastes, a lot of metal is much different then what most would expect.
i hate country, i hate rap, i hate blues, i hate jazz.. but i do not say any of them suck. i do not critize the people that listen to it.. music is music everyone likes something different. i am about the screamo scene shit. I have a band i play guitar and do vocals in. sooo that just me though i cant stand heavy metal at all.. or constant screaming either. screaming and synth just makes shit sound good sometimes.. cant argue with that can you?

I like some Vanna, A Day to Remember, Attack Attack! etc. So I guess I'm a fan of somewhat heavier music. Usually prefer some decent regular vocals in addition to screamo. Not usually into listening to it high though, even though its my favorite type of music. lol EDIT: OH whenever I think of scene music, I always picture this band my friend showed me. They're RETARDED (in my opinion). Just youtube "iwrestledabearonce". I think the song is "Tastes Like Kevin Bacon" Lol Good for a laugh.
its trendy. ever go in hot topic and see all the trendy little emo kids with their trendy bangs.. the guys that listen to that music probably dont like it. they just listen to it to be "scene"..the girls listen to it because they think the frontman or the drummer is cute.. its pathetic really..
screamo sucks like those emo bands like vanna,underoath and stuff like that metalcore/deathcore/hardcore is not screamo IMO
