Scoobies Secret Doobie Farm

  1. I made another interesting observation about watering. Since the gnat outbreak I’ve been keeping my watering to a minimum, and allowing the moisture meters to stay in the 250-500 range, vs my normal range of 50-250. There were times when I thought I put more water in one pot than I should have, but I still didn’t get it below 250.
A few days ago when I added the bat guano tea I decided to bring all the meters back into the lower range, so I did it over a couple days, watering twice daily and monitoring until it got there. That’s been about 3-4 days now, and I swear I see a lot more bulk in the buds already. And the yellowing in the big girl seems to have slowed considerably, so I’m thinking it’s possible that I’ve been under watering all this time, and limiting bud production in the process. I believe the early yellowing was the plants attempt to produce as much bud as possible using its own resources, like it does in senescence. Tomorrow marks the end of week 5 so there’s still time to recover hopefully.
The pistils on this plant, and the way it’s growing has me thinking it’s gonna take longer than the rest anyway. When the yellowing started the buds stopped increasing in size, but they’ve suddenly bulked up a lot in just the last 3-4 days.

  3. could very well be the limited watering, as the plant uses water to transfer nutrients around a short supply might lead to slower or less transfer leading to slower growth. never actually thought about it that way until what you said.
regardless your plants looking super healthy before and after.

One each, an SD on the right, and the CBD Therapy at center rear continue yellowing, but the buds are still growing, albeit not as chunky as some of the others. The two on the left, one each, look great all around, the others all have their issues but they’ve putting out so we’re sticking with them until the end. I saw a lot of cloudy trichs one the one at front center just this morning.
Check out the difference in these two SD’s..

  8. Yea crazy. We had Irma b-line right for us when she made land fall. Had to evacuate and kill my whole tent. Was crushed. But once I got back I got my operation up again. Looks like you did pretty well.

  12. Sup fellas!

Sorry i haven't been updating this journal as often as id like. the main reason is i am a bit bummed as my plan to halt the stretch by keeping the girls in small pots for the first 3 weeks of flower kinda backfired on me. Actually the plan worked all too well and the girls stayed tiny and looks like they will stay that way haha!

    Day 39:
    IMG_2262.jpg IMG_2263.jpg IMG_2264.jpg IMG_2265.jpg

at least they are healthy, and who knows i might even get a few grams from each! :roflmao:
at least now i know the method of keeping them in small pots works, just need to play with how long they stay there.

I have also taken a couple of clones from the Dutch Delights i popped a few months ago, already got roots on one and as soon as the other shows roots i will add them to the no-till, there certainly doesn't seem to be any lack of space this time!:p

Hope you all are doing good, oh and Happy New Year you guys!

And Incase anyone is interested for our new years we had cheese. Hubby picked out this here hemp cheese for me[IMG]

They roast the seeds. However, I will say this was not my favorite. It was rather bland and I think a full on heavy smelling strain would have been much nicer .

  17. Omg I didn't even think of that! Hilarious. I doubt it though. I have found most stuff sold around here is more of a novelty. There's no to little thc in it. Ran across suckers sold in a am/pm type place like no thc in it. Same store also had cannibis vodka same thing. They haven't broke out into the real edibles seen here yet.... I'm jealous

  18. Week eight bud porn...let’s start with a SD bud shot...

From this plant, it has several nice colas. Definitely the best of the bunch. Still seeing mostly clear trichs on all the SD with some cloudy and a few colors. Couple weeks yet I think.

Here’s the other 2 SD’s... bulking up good, but not like their sister.

Still plenty of buds for the size of the plants I guess. I’m spoiled by the bigger ones.

  19. And here’s 2 of the CBD Therapy. The 2 shorter ones are almost ready but the tallest one will be a couple weeks at least.
I’m seeing a lot more yellowing than usual all around so I definitely need to reamend before starting another round, and do a better job than last time. I didn’t top dress during the grow at all and I usually do at the light changeover. Live and learn!
I’m still having a gnat issue as well and I’m pretty sure it affected a couple of them quite a bit. I’m thinking about starting with new soil but that’s tough to do this time of year. Next summer project.

I’m anxious to sample both of these strains. They both smell pretty strong, and I love the smell and taste of the resin on my fingers. :love-mj2:
    Peace! :passtheshit:
