Is there a way to turn scissor hash into a oil or more refined product. Grain or ethyl preferred. I'm new here so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm also no apprentice :p

  2. There sure is. Just gotta do more research as I am not familiar with those particular solvent extraction methods

  3. Yeah. I know there's a way. But it's hard because I don't think any quick wash type method would work. It almost seems like you would need to let the scissor soak for a while but that's gonna allow for plant matter

  4. Actually I'm not really concerned with plant matter. There's def a few sugar leaves in the mix but not enough to really make it bad or anything.

  5. I'd say use iso. I don't really have any experience with grain or ethyl.

  6. Why not just use iso?

Its quicker, and as long as you evap completely (incredibly easy with a double boiler set up) its the exact same quality as ethyl or grain alcohol extracted oil, for like...... 23 hours less work.

  7. ISO weirds me out. I use to do qwiso way back when but it's not something I really would do. I work in the industry and it's not something that people recommend. If it's 99% and the only other ingredient is water then I guess it's okay. It's just coming from a foreign country etc. But a quick wash won't work anyways.. Super high proof grain alcohol does the exact same thing and it's food grade.

  8. The process is exactly the same as with ISO, it just takes longer

Also pretty much all, if not all ISO is just so and so percent methanol, and so and so percent water, nothing else added unless specifically stated.

  9. The evap curing and drying I'm not concerned about. It's the actual process. You can't quick wash hash. Essentially what I'm asking is can I take scissor hash and turn it into a more refined or full melt hash ie dabbable. Basically turn hash into hash... My idea was just to soak it in alcohol for a couple days then strain it into a Pyrex and let it dry via double boil and or low oven temp.
