Looks like Berkeley popped the biosynthetic genes into yeast. What will this mean to the cannabis market? Scientists brew up genetically-modified cannabis using beer yeast | CBC News
I have heard in Fiction recently of someone growing THC in yeast but like I said it was in fiction.. it might have been a comedy ..lol the researchers say, is that it will reduce the need for large-scale greenhouses that can take their toll on the environment, such as risking pesticide runoff into streams or putting a strain on watersheds so next year I'll be brewing 'Yeast'
This could be a path for big business to take over the market. If they can produce THC/CBD at1/10th of the cost of producing by growing cannabis, then the industry will be turned upside down. Big pharma already produce many drugs through fermentation, so it's a natural fit. Just add some terpenes and you have a McWeed product...
they are comparing indoor grows based on cannabis prohibition still... outside grows , how energy sensitive are they really Lol?
