Man im so done with it. My school has some stupid policy that if your more than 5 minutes late to your first class it is marked as a tardy. And you can only be late 6 times. I was late 8 and now im failing because of it? Just doesnt make sence to me. Doing great in that class, and i might get failed for being a few minutes late when it clearly doesnt matter if you look at my grade. Makes no sence. Never been sent to the office, suspended, never cut class, always respectful towards teachers and they want to fail me for being a few minutes late. I know its a school rule but it just doesnt register with me.
If you've never been in trouble, then it doesn't sound like it will be a problem. Schools drop stupid ass rules all the time, but it is what it is, unless you talk to the school-board or your local congressmen. Just go to your administrator, explain the situation, tell them from this point on you won't be late a again, and to overlook the past few tardies. Then follow through and set your alarm clock ten minutes earlier. If it's in between classes, then just walk faster in the future. I know it's silly, but don't let something as stupid as this let you hold you back.
yeah i hope imean ive never given anyone trouble and im a varsity wrestler so i cant afford to fail especially for a reason like this. Its just in my mind, im respectful and have never given anyone any trouble in school, so why do this to a student like that?
Sounds like high school to me breh, once you have a real job and bills to pay you won't be ranting about the minimal expectations and requirements that high school requires.
yeah i mean its not like its even a lare amount of time, just 2 or 3 minutes. But i know i cant be doing that once i get a real job so better fix it while i can
Fuck it, just drop out and go get a job, the kind where you make good money for doing next to nothing and can come and go as you please. Yeah, that's the ticket!
Try being late for your job...or living within the rules governing different work places... Yup...real life sucks...school is easy...
This happened to me in high school. They weren't going to let me graduate with a 3.5 GPA because I had been late 4 too many times that year. It wasn't even the lates though, they just fucking hated me and jumped at an excuse to fuck my life up. Luckily my dad threatened them with a lawsuit and they backed off, the motherfuckers.
Gonna have to disagree with some of these posts here. If you get a good job, they don't really care if you're late. I work in auditing and everyone in my department can come anytime between 5am-noon. They know we're adults so they trust us to get our 8 hours in, doesn't matter what time we get it. I can also do 9 hours one day, 7 the next, or do 10 hours 4 days in a row, etc. and switch it up every single week, don't have to tell anyone or say a word. Usually they only make a big deal about showing up on time if you do blue-collar work like manual labor type jobs. So spend $8 on a watch, be on time to class, graduate, go to school, and get a job where you don't have to get treated like a baby. Also, this really bothered me. It's sense*. Not sence.
Part of the real world'is being on time bro. Late to work 8 times... fired...Late on rent 8 times... evicted.Late n light bill 8 times... no electricity.See where I'm going? Wake up 15 mins earlier and get to class on time.Stop saying a rule is stupid when it's pervasive in all aspects of life. The Marines have a saying... "if you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, don't bother showing up."You lack discipline.sent from underneath my balls
