Scalp Psoriasis - Shaving head

  1. So I have what I believe to be scalp psoriasis, and was wondering if any other forum users out there have had this or currently do? I am planning on buzz cutting my hair, as much as I don't want to due to my love of long hair, but I have read through and through that thinner hair and sunlight can help it.

I have rather thick/long hair (male if it matters), and scalp issues have been starting to bother me although I've had it since I started high school about 5 years ago. I plan on visiting dermatologist, doctors and so forth. But forum advice is never a bad place to start.

  2. my wife has super thick hair and scalp issues, it gets to where she'll have terrible headaches and scratches to blood. She gets her hair thinned out every so often and uses Tea Tree shampoo and lately one called function of beauty. I think the thick hair traps shampoo and eventually leads to the irritation, in her case anyway

I can only sugest you to stop using bad shampos , almost all shampos use chimicals and stuff , i discovered this some months ago too , i've started to use some natural things to clean my scalp / hair cuz it used to itch and hurt me , i started to wash it with Aloe Vera gem extrach ( pure from aloe ) and coconut oil / milk ( i just mixed them together in the blender ) They both have great proprieties and stuff , u can read online , or you can even buy a aloe vera shampo ( but be carefull , some contain aloe vera but also contain so many chemicals ) .... Peace and love brother

  5. you should try to lower inflammation in your body. there are some supplements, which have been proven effective.

but mostly focus on adding ginger, turmeric, blueberries and various seeds (chia, flex) and nuts to your diet.
additionally spinach and kale also work well as anti-inflammatory agents.
probably the best way to consume this is via "green" shakes or smoothies.

simple recipe: cup of spinach, about 1-2g of ginger, handful of blueberries and a tablespoon of chia seeds, filtered water. blend using a decent blender, like nutribullet.

  6. I have this issue too. It started around 19 and some 30years later I still fight it. I have tried all kinds of things to cure it, but it always seems to come back. The most effective thing I have found at controlling it is tiger balm. It will burn the first couple times you use it, but it will knock it down. I think anything with menthol will work.
I have really thick hair and keep it short with clippers. I do it to help with rinsing and this. I also live in tick country so short hair is a must for me.

  7. Try consuming more citrus in your diet. Vitamin C and D are beneficial to light sensitive parts of the body, especially the top of your head.
