Saw a sick ass Illadelph

if you buy anything there dont buy the illa get a RooR or a Lux i have herd nothing but bad things about the illa percs and the overall craftsmanship of there bongs and $1100 is outrages you can get a double perc RooR for less then that and they are out of production

im not trying to be a buzzkill or anything i just wanted to let you know what i have read so you dont spend alot of money and end up unhappy

 

Like BigSmoker said, don't waste that much money on an Illa perc, when you can get a way sweeter bong (cough...Roor...cough...Lux...Cough...Toro...)

If your gonna spend that much dough, remember the saying "if you mess with the bull, you'll get the horns"...

 

illadelph isn't the highest quality GonG on the market, and for the price of that 3 foot tube you could get something you would be loads happier with.

for 1100 you could get an incredibly sick German custom RooR, custom Toro, custom Lux (RooR US owners new line)

 

Never heard of a glycerin chamber, that sounds crazy.

 

they are encased coils at the bottom of the bong that are completly submerged in a freezable liquid which eliminates tthe need for ice here is a pic

 

Dang, I dunno about you guys, but that bong looks so unappealing, I personally wouldn't ever buy one, let alone spend over a grand on one .

Just my opinion, there's so much better out there.

 

i agree 100% i do however kinda like the look of there straight tubes but not enough to spend as much as they want for one

my next bong will either be another RooR or an Ehle i am really leaning towords the Ehle cause damn they are cheap for what they are i would love one of these Lux mini percs but damn there kind of expensive and me being in nebraska kinda hard to find so i will just have to drool over the pics

Yeah, LUX's are sweet as hell, love the design and structure.

Edit-Yeah I really like the cobalt Illadelph line, those bingers are sweet as hell. They're out of stock online right now, but if they do come back into stock I'll definitely be down to pick one up.

There's just no freakin' way I'd spend over a grand on an Illa, when like Emagdnim also said, you can get hella custom work done on a tube for that much, more or less.

 

that stuff doesnt "freeze", it just cools and wont expand, so it cant crack the glass. they've had a few in the shop near me and i always think they cost far too much for what you get. because the coil tapers in, its going to add drag. i guess if you have the money to spend and really want and illadelph, its an ok choice, but as far as GonG goes, save your $ and get a RooR or Lux.

 

Has anybody considered that its pointless to have a glycerine coil on a 3 foot bong? How do you even put it in the freezer? Maybe you could do it if you had a side by side fridge/freezer and you removed all the shelves but I dont know to many people with an entire freezer to devote to a bong.

 

I intend to get an Illadelph as soon as I can find the $$$... I guess it has much more appeal if your hanging out in the city with a damn similiar sounding name..

 

never hit a perculated illadelph, but the illadelph i did hit was one of the smoothest rips ive ever had, and im kinda a roor fan.

 

Helllllllllll yeah percs are worth it.

For 400, I'd get a Lux perc or if you happen to spot one, a RooR perc runs anywhere between $420-However much headshops wanna charge, they're rare now and harder to find.

 

if your spending 400 see if your shop has a 24" lux perc

get a diffusor and you will be in heaven.


the perc filters the water again after the initial filter, resulting in a smoother smoke. lux/roor percs are high end because they not only filter the smoke but have taken the drag factor into consideration and their tubes are very easy to hit

 

from experience you guys are all incredibly wrong. I've owned two Phx's, A Lux, A Delta9 Perc. And I currently have a Roor Perc, orange label and picked up the coil illadelph today.

PHX's are quality for the money and the perc's are unbeatable.
The illadelph coil is far better than anyone gave it credit for. I was wondering if any one knew how long you can leave it in the freezer for? or am I the only one lucky enough to own one of these?

also to whoever was complaining about the bong taking up space in your freezer, the one I got is a detachable coil which might be the only kind they make now. The entire coil tube which isn't too large seperates from the bottom section to fit conveniently in the freezer. It's glass on glass connection is solid also. and the double diffused ashcatcher cannot be beat.

the perc'd roor with the illadelph ashcatcher in it is the nicest thing anyone could ever hit. peace out.

 

I got my LUX mini from 42 in ATL. They are some nice tubes. I would suggest getting a RooR or LUX with a single perc. You can get the minis for that price but the 2 fts might be a little more than you said you wanted to spend. Both of these tubes also come with a diffuser and if you wanted even more filtration, get an ashcatcher. But, the minis seem to tip when they have ashcatchers on them, even my bubble bottom.

 

My dealer has an illadelph just like the one Big Smoker posted except his is green and custom blown so the glass is even thicker than the one you saw at the shop. It is the best bong hit you'll ever take. No need for ice cubes you just put that in the freezer for a few hours and you'll be good to go. I hope you pick it up for yourself! Well worth it.

 

42 degrees is a very nice headshop.. Me and my room mate just got a very nice 7MM Green ROOR with an ashcatcher and 2 diffusers. 22" Very nice and it holds a lott of ice.. Paid 420 $ dollars lol me and the guy working there laughed.. Gets me very very stoned
