I fear that if you lead a life under that doctrine then it\'ll all be very unfulfilling in the end, and you might wish you had spent your time doing something more productive.

You admitted to being uncertain about whether there is a god or not....So do you derive satisfaction from rejecting the unknown? IMO that mentality is no better than that of the people who created the concept of the \"Devil\" to explain all the tradegy and \"evil\" that accompanies life. Do you see how labeling the unknown as a \"cocksucker\" is similar to labeling the unknown as and act of God or of the Devil? In my experience it\'s best to keep an open mind and to avoid bashing anything because later down the line you might see how the \"enemy\" is not so much different from you.

You know, it\'s always been ok for religious people to spout off bad things about atheists, so I say it\'s fair game to say shit to them.

That said, I\'ve never felt compelled to trash someone\'s religion, based on the fact that I just don\'t give a shit. I\'m not religions but I\'m not zealous enough to try to change anyone else\'s mind.

religious people say things about atheists? only ive heard themsay is that theyre making a bad choice..christians dont just go around mouthin people because they have no religion..afterall thats not what we\'re about...

personally i have no choice to what i believe in. i know for certain God exists..ive had my miracle that everyone else always demands.

i heard someone say they may find out when they die that there isnt a God and that they wish they wouldve lived a better life on earth.....if this is true friends then you wont know youre dead so who cares right!!

I know plenty of religious people that would be able to camly understand that though these people are all entitled to their own opinion, and they could address these issues through normal conversation.

The thread asked if anyone else felt okay with blasphemy. You could have simply said, NO, and given an intellegent answer. Instead you came in and tried to come up with some totally biased and unenlightened reason why these people who disagree with you feel the way they feel. Only they know why they feel the way they do and its not up to you to judge them. Instead you try to attack their credibility, yet it does nothing to address the issue at hand.

Sorry if i\'m ignorant now. I just thought we were all entitled to our own opinions without things getting out of hand. I guess i didnt get the memo...
