Sassy little Mutant

Discussion in 'Marijuana Grow Journals' started by WarChief, Jan 31, 2007.

  1. Hey growers  I want to share a mutant with you. This sassy little babe(i hope) has some fused secondary branches and the main growing tip has gone from Triploid to "normal" and on to multiploid/quadploid?... i don't know the terms, but the plant now has 4 sets of leaves/branches and she is really, really sexy:)

    ...unless it's a dude then he's a freak.:D

If anyone would like to share their experiences / knowledge of mutants and the correct terms to describe them, feel free.

  2. I think that shit is fucked up! :p kinda like that duckfoot stuf i saw a while back. Anyone got any pics of that stuff?

  3. Hey KG :) Yeah, i remember that duckfoot...how could i forget those fine azz, sexy:D leaves.

Well, a little about what i'm up to... I'm searching for a mother plant or three because i'm tired of starting over with seeds every two or three years. I want to maintain some mothers/clones in a box setup under two of those Lights Of America shop-lights with (4) 32watt t8 daylight bulbs and a small fan...which is what im currently growing my 5 parent plants under. Right now the plants are just over 5 weeks old and looking fairly healthy despite being crammed together under two shopights. In the next few days, I plan on taking 4-5 cuttings off each plant and sending them(Parent Plants) off to their new home under an HPS 430 SonAgro. There they will grow and get used to the HID for no more than a week, and then they will be flowered. If the clones don't work out for some reason  i will reveg the moms for 3 weeks under the HPS, take clones again and then flower the mothers once more.

Some pics of the plants, including a different plant with mutations. This one has an overly fat leaf stem(compared with other leaf stem on the main stem). The leaf stem is fat because the plant has put off two shoots instead of one, and the leaf is mutated as well with 11 leafs including one coming out underneath the rest.

Oh yeah, the plants are White Widow, White Russian, Blueberry and Oasis...or a combination of the 2 or more. You see, when we shut down last time because of a couple of grow.com sites getting raided and shut down, I was given responsbility of taking care of all the seeds, but they were all mixed together in a pill container so i have no real idea of telling what specifically these individual plants are...which begs the question... If i were to post a pic of the seeds in little groups whos colors and patterns matched, and knowing what strains are involved here...does anyone here think they could give me an educated guess on what strain these seeds may be? I'm not expecting you guys to tell me beyond a shadow of a doubt what strain(s) they are, but if certain seeds have specific patterns i would love to learn more about that.

  4. No name for it, just call it a Gift :) i usually clone the top off when i get one... they are great producers if you flower early, after a while they start to revert back to normal nodes.

  5. A gift...I like that a lot! I think i'll call it the gift :D I didn't think about cloning the top, but when the gift put off a second set of quad branches, i topped it. I'm hoping to start the flowering cycle soon, but i don't have full control over the time table. Thank you for the response and info DW :)

  6. Well, 4 of the parent plants are now at their new home under the 430HPS...One showed male flowers before leaving the veg place and was targeted for termination. I will post some pics of the females when things get interesting.

Now that the once cramped veg area has cleared out a bit, i was able to pot up some of the younger plants into 2 gallon containers. One of the younger plant is a mutation also, with multiple leafs at the internode... "It" has also put off two leafs vertically rather than horizontally from the growing tip...And there's two tops instead of one...it's almost like the plant put off leafs for tops and tops for leafs...
