Santafarian...What do people think of this?

  1. do you guys not see that this dude is a troll? plus santa allready does charity work standing infront of walmart ringing a bell and taking change.

  2. What makes you think Coke-Cola has more credibility than me when it comes to knowing how to use Santa? Santa means "unlimited giving" and no where have I ever seen that phrase come from Coke when using Santa.

Santa is supposed to be an anti-capitalism image, but was kind of ruined and watered down in the 20th century. We teach our children that Santa is a guy that gives, yet throughout the years Santa has been seen as a begger ( Salvation Army).

We teach our children that Santa listens to them, and in fact encourage the children to write letters to this guy, with the idea that he can help you get what you want...Well, what happens when kids really believe in Santa...Are we just supposed to forget about it?

'Dear Santa' Letter Alleges Molestation - Sacramento News Story - KCRA Sacramento This story came at the height of me being Santa, and really hit a nerve. If this one girl wrote this letter, what are other kids writing ( by the way, I keep a Santa letter in my wallet).

If Coke-Cola really were the experts on using Santa, shouldn't it be their responsibility to make sure all these letters are read instead of a guy who apparently has trouble tying his shoelaces correctly?

GC, I am not trying to start this campaign because I believe I can do it...I am starting this campaign because it needs to get done. After that, then I could do other things. But I know to much, and that has become a bit of a problem.

  3. Nope, I am going to be a guy who smokes medicinal marijuana for his incurable illness that just so happens to be only a handful of people qualified into turning Santa into a tool for charity...

Thanks for the well wishes, but believe luck will have little to do with it...Sure, I am one of the luckiest guys in the world for being able to survive the way I did, and try not to take any day for granted.

By the way, Santa is a completely crazy character to begin with. Doesn't it make sense that a crazy person might know how to better utilize the image of Santa than a sane person does? LOL!! That is logic I am hoping people will understand.

By the way, have I mentioned the merits of Santa porn?

  4. Is there a proper way to help turn Santa Claus, an image based on the concept of unlimited giving, into a tool that will benefit todays society?

    and

Aren't we as a society always looking for ways to improve on tools or methods to make life a little bit easier?

That is all I have worked on, based on some inside information I got when I was "crazy"...This came from being sick all of my life, and wanting to make the world smile. honestly, finding this money was by accident, and the quicker I get this out of my hands, the better...

why do you think I am on this site?

  5. the coca-cola comment was more being coca-cola created the santa clause we all know of right down to the red and white.

what exactly is your plan for raising money and helping people?
i just haven't seen anything from you besides near crazy ramblings about how the image of Santa needs to change.

what have you actually DONE? i ask out of genuine curiosity, as i'm sure you had to have done SOMETHING charitable related to this..
so how do you go about this?

  6. Coke-Cola made popular the visual image people associate with Santa...They improved on an image that had been around for years.

However, it is society, over hundreds of years, that created the mystique of Santa, and they are the ones that should benefit every time the image is used. While Coke promoted Santa more than anyone, they still used the image incorrectly.

My idea is that Coke, upon seeing a real Santa campaign taking place, would hop on board and get involved.

And before I answer your other questions, and I have no problem doing it, can you at least answer at least one of mine that I asked in a previous post? If you don't want to, thats fine. I will still answer the question.

  7. Do you think Coke takes responsibility for Santa being used in Adult films? If they truly created Santa, shouldn't this been seen as a bad thing? A poster before commented that Santa is only for children, and that I was trying to tarnish the image...

I think I am trying to take a tarnished image, and make it better. Obviously, I am doing something wrong. Hopefully, I will figure it out.

  8. like what question? like what do I do to better the world?
not as much as i'd like to, but more than some can say. i go out of my way to help people just for the sake of helping whether they're a stranger or a good friend.
i do some volunteer work at the local animal shelter but i could put more hours in and be involved with more charities.
that's where i don't want there to be confusion. i support your intentions whole-heartily but i just don't exactly get your whole plan?

  9. what the fuck......calm down with the santa shit.

Imbaked, I was talking about these questions, and was not coming out at you in any way...

  11. LOL!! Why? Is someone forcing you to click into this thread everytime I make a comment at gunpoint? If that was the case, that would be awesome!!

  12. Seriously I'm pretty confused. So you want to start a charity using the image of Santa? So I don't understand how this charity would be different from the charities that already exist. Please explain. No bad vibes just wondering.

  13. If you get one industry to start using Santa correctly, meaning everytime the image is used, a portion would go to a charity, it could help set a precedent where other industries would follow. That happened with the Pink Campaign, and use that as a model.

And honestly, its not about me starting a charity ( I am very sick, and there are just certain things I am not capable of doing) Its about trying to change the way people perceive Santa...

If you want specifics, I bring up the pictures with Santa...I remember seeing people paying up to $50 for pics, and this just blew my mind. If we could get a portion of all those pics to go to charity, that is some extra money into the hands of the charities.

I look at the Santacons as a huge source of charity money...Santacons are when people dress up like Santa, and go on a bar crawl...This is like in every city around the globe, and is often a huge turnout...People really enjoy dressing like Santa ( and getting drunk of course) Why not turn it into a day of giving...A small thing like for every beer a person dressed like Santa or Mrs Claus buys, fifty cents would go to charity ( okay, i am ambitious enough to ask for a dollar, but still, fifty cents could be worth something)

The difference with the Santa Movement is that people already are spending the money on Santa stuff, from movies to merchandise, and everything else...Lets just try transferring some of that money to the charities. thats it.

  14. i really wish you the best. your passion is admirable.
even with your illness, you just need to get more hands on and out there with your ideas.
terry fox was pretty sick wouldn't you say? he managed to walk as far as he could across Canada to start up what he believed in.
now of course that's extreme but it will take more than us here at GC to help change Santa Claus

  15. Two years ago, I cared too much about doing the right thing, and believed that is all that mattered. After admitting myself into a hospital, I had my rights violated, and was forced to take the drugs they gave me...Based on my history with these drugs, they never should have given them to me, but they didn't care...I lost my shit inside a mental ward, and it was the scariest thing thats ever happened to me...They turned me into a monster, and fucked with brain in a way that has had a lasting impact...

After the incident, I became really scared, and stayed away from talking about Santa...I had spent 34 years surviving an illness few people can comprehend, and put myself on a path to really trying to do a good thing. The experience kind of warped me, and I still don't understand why it happened.

I know this seems like a shitty excuse, and I really do feel guilty that incident effected me the way it did...I have done everything I could think of to get this started, but to keep myself safe...

I am in a very happy stage of my life right now, and the only negative is that I believe, if given a chance, I could help people. But I am uncomfortable with money, and am looking for help with this...That is all I need.

Funny, I got the same message in an email from a wealthy Nigerian prince

  17. Yep, that sounded pretty bad, but that is not what I meant. When I first dyed my beard white and put on the suit, I immediately felt the power of Santa, and it was a pretty cool feeling. I got to see real smiles, and I just couldn't put a price on that type of smile ( seems pretty silly now, but that is how I felt then) I never really made any money when I was Santa. I think I worked a few parties, but it kind of felt weird. My high was when I was just walking around "being Santa", and money was never part of the equation.

I have always struggled with money, and never had more than a few thousand dollars. I didn't want to give some person I did not know $500 to "make me a star"...And maybe this is the wrong approach, but I want to do this the right way. I turned down a chance to make ten grand this past December because it went against everything I stood for when I put the red suit on...

Yeah, maybe this viewpoint is crazy, but I believed I saw something better, and have stuck to my guns. I have never asked for donations, just an opportunity to share my work with people that can use it...

  18. I thought that this thread was about Santeria, an Afro-Caribbean religious tradition that uses voodoo and animal sacrifice. There are believed to be tens of thousands of practicioners in the United States, and every once in a while there's a case reported in NYC, especially in Brooklyn, where many followers of Santeria live.

  19. ^^ thanks I'm glad I know that now.

I don't practice Santeria, I ain't got no crystal ball.

But OP I'm sorry if what I said upset you, I know what it's like to have a mental illness ,I know what it's like to be in a ward, and I also know what it's like to be forced into pills and false information.

I really do wish you the best of luck, hope you reach success, because it's damn hard to get ahold of.

  20. But thats the thing...I am proud to be mentailly ill, because I like the way I think...I really enjoy the way I look at things. I have never hurt anyone before, and am not a danger to society. I am just a guy that made an important discovery so different people are unwilling to listen...

    LOL!! I will keep trying.
