Why is alcohol legal, why is marijuana not? I offhand want to say that in my entire life I have been pretty frequently exsposed to some form of drug or another, and in the cases of marijuana and alcohol, I have some issues with the way the law sits. From personal experience to an endless degree the extreme difference in danger levels between the two. Driving not included (unofficially, the case still stands.) Alcohol in my past has been involved and or contributed to so much violence it really isn\'t funny. ( Broke my friends arm over an argument. I pushed him over a railing and he fell about 15 feet on his elbow.) not too mention really bad judgement. Not my experience but from what i\'v herd, sex being the main Judgement problem. Alcohol is also a socal stimulator im not saying it makes people KILL one another but it does provoke violence. Marijuana however, is much more readily associated with peace, tranquility, laughter. This isn\'t me spitting out stereotypes its my experience. There are always exceptions but stereotypes come about because they tend to be based on fact. I always feel more comfortable in a situation if im High/Stoned. Im always happier when meeting people, and over my time smoking i have met a good handful of people who are the same way. I honestly believe that the biggest problem with pot is abuse, and that is generally due to other problems entirely, the next biggest problem is health, and then a demotivating effect it can have. Either Alcohol should be illegal, or pot should be legal, untill someone gives me good reason to believe otherwise. In my opinon its really violence Vs. LOVE & PEACE \"Just let the lovein take ahold.\" I think you all know where I stand on the matter.
i hear ya loud and clear not saying i hate alcohol, because i do enjoy having a few drinks on the weekend and smoking a little spliff to top it off... but the laws don\'t make sense
all i can say is the steriotypical alcohol comes home, drinks a 6 pack and beats his family, a steriotypical stoner comes home smokes a joint and zones out. however, steriotypes suck. if i had to choose between the two id go for bud, but alcohol is a damn good friend of mine.
Alcohol has damaged my, and a few friend\'s lives. Quite a bit too. I myself use it, but rarely. Marijuana is deffinately a better choice, and the laws revolving around it are insane.
