SALT Slide Review; Pictures included ~

  1. Let me start off with telling you guys how durable this thing is!!! I swear it's like a tank, i've owned many expensive roor slides, but i've dropped this thing literally 4 times on wood flooring and it has yet to crack or damage the least bit!

The craftsmanship is clean and detailed, the eyeball looks beautiful and the etching of the horns is precise and clean cut, with a unique black finish and SALT written in gold pen on the back just above the male joint.

as weird as it sounds, it's pretty easy to clean, normally just let it sit in my sink allowing hot water to run through the slide pushing resin out the other end. i follow it up with a q-tip and rarely ever use grunge off, it's a clean design and i appreciate the easy cleaning process.

Overall the best slide i've ever purchased, i think i will only go for Salt slides after the beating this one has taken and continues to withstand. I'm typically great with glass, own a couple roor's, never had a problem, but this slide has taken its fair share and has yet to let me down.

  2. No price? I'm sure these are marked way up for artistic value, although setting them on display would be quite nice ;)

  3. expect to be paying around $100 for one, these are for glass enthusiasts typically, but always open to newcomers.

  4. Well over $100 if you're looking at the larger more intricate ones.

  5. cheapest ive seen online is like 140's
like the OP's salt online(only place ive seen em, from lack of headshops) would go for 140's-150's

where do you even get Salt products online?

  7. online or in head shops... or from him personally

  8. Is there any specific sites you can list?

  9. Dude you live in Boston...The Joint has them...just got there.

  10. thats crazy $150 for a slide, they are really nice though. functional i think a disc slide would be better.

  12. nice slide yo

  13. I just picked up an amazing salt slide from the Joint. They are stickered at around 200 but they are the sickest batch of his slides I have ever seen. You should go check them out.

  14. i'm not from boston :p

but feel welcome to upload any pics you have, i'd love to see more.

shoot me an email if you want to know where i got mine personally. It was listed as $120 and they carry Toro's and such.

  15. I personally cannot swallow that price, but I sure envy those who can :(

  16. Welcome to the world of high end glass, man. :D

  17. quick fyi, it is not signed in any sort of conventional pen, it is ti signed, which is when the artist uses a titanium "pen" to sign their name / moniker.

and imo, high end slides, unless they are a disc or ice pinch, function almost exactly the same.

that beign said, go for the one you love! great choice op. i love my salt.

  18. This is the truth. Personal Preference is at the heart of every glass collection, plain and simple! :D
