so im in the beginning of week 3 flowering, i am using a 400 watt hps at the moment and have 7 indica plants growing. All of them are female. My question is that im unsure if 400 watts is enough for 7 flowering plants. would anyone recommend possibly choping one or two in order to get better yeild from the remaining ones? I just feel like a 400 might not be enough for7 plants to flower
I think you'll be fine. The rule of thumb is 100 W for the first plant, 50 for the rest, thats an even 400W for 7 plants. Its borderline, but it should be fine. Consider getting a 100 W CLF maybe? They only cost about $30.
