Notice Austan Goolsbee's "WTF you aren't supposed to tell people that" face.
  2. Wait, I thought we raised the debt ceiling to avoid financial ruin?!?

  3. I feel like the recession is gunna be worse this time around

  4. Yeah who would have thought... :checks sig:
  5. This time around? We never left the first one.
  6. yeah man, saw this on the tv in friend's store earlier. The US is now Alcoholics Anonymous..
  7. Oh well.

    At least everyone loses.
  8. I expected it, all that bush and obama did was make it less worse at the time which only delayed the inevitable shit storm that is coming.

Yep it hasnt ended for the common man. PS- what part of the mountains you live in?
  9. Recession? Try depression.....

The downfall of this empire is very evident.

  10. End The Fed? :smoke:
  11. LOL Yea this is a bit silly. I knew this was coming, especially after Obama implied that if we didnt raise the debt ceiling the debt wasnt going to be paid. LOL More debt to pay debt? Good ideas abound from the government.

People just cant seem to get it through their heads that Government by its very nature, can do few things properly. It seems to me, that the government does best, what is outlined in the constitution. Everything else that it has done, that wasnt in that little peice of paper, it seems to suck at immensely. It almost seems like there were some people (in 1776) that already knew this. I forget there names now..........
  12. I think we need to end everything and start over from scratch lol :p

NYT had it right.. can you say DOUBLE-DIP?

When is our government going to face the facts that its going to have to live within its means. CAP/CUT/BALANCE.

Vote 3rd party, Republicans and Democrats.. in it together to destroy America.
  14. So do you people think we should of had that good of a credit rating before?

inb4 conspiracy theories trying to "prove" jews are out to destroy the US
  15. Ouch. Way to go spaz out, Yanks.
  16. Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul :)

  17. No. Who would believe or trust Moody's, the S&P, anyone at the Fed/Treasury (aka Goldman Sachs), the White House, most of Congress, etc?

Remember, lending standards are sound, the housing market is encouraging, and those mortgage backed securities ;) are AAA rated.

Of course there were a few people who have been predicting this for...well...their entire career. (see sig)
  18. *cough* legalization of cannabis to generate some revenue *cough*
