Well we all know cannabis grows in the wild, which means at night time it takes in some moonlight as well.

Im gonna be growing in a closet soon, and i was curious if a couple of small light leaks are really that bad for a plant?

EDIT: there is an extremely small light leak on the side where the door meets the wall, like a thin strip of open-ness. and the bottom of the door is partly covered with a few sheets of mylar. the intense light from in the closet barely leaks out, but im pretty sure that the light inside the room doesnt get in too much.

  2. In a technical sense it's probably true that MJ doesn't need total, complete, absolute darkness. The problem is: how much is "a little"? There's no way to know from your description how much light is getting in, but light from the crack of a door certainly has been enough to mess up plenty of grows in the past.

Just hang a towel or blanket on the inside of the closet overlapping the door and wall to block that light.

Keep in mind that we don't experience light energy directly, we perceive light. Moonlight really isn't very bright at all, even though the moon "looks" bright to our eyes. But that's because we are perceiving it in comparison to the dark night sky. In reality it lets off very little light.

  3. makes sense. i completely forgot that we see light in a totally different way.

    thanks again toasty ^_^
