Rx Generation

  1. I always see posts on the message boards I view about people on meds, mostly people under 40. Its so weird, everyone seems to have depression, adhd, add, and anxiety attacks. I think its all bullshit, people are so intuned that they need meds to do their daily activites. There are a few who actually do need it and thats great. But theres so many kids that take meds for shit they dont have. Anyway, do you agree that the Rx Generation is full of shit? That meds are being given out way too easily for shit people dont have?

  2. i dont know.. i voted no because i dont really think people are just taking things for stuff they dont have (unless you consider like... popping pills then of course..) but i mean.. doctors usually tell people what to take.. and i dont think a doctor will tell people to take something just for shits and giggles...

    just my $0.02

  3. I say yes.

Doctor: So, how've things been with Timmy lately?
Mom: Well, he's been having trouble paying attention in school.
Doctor: Ok, here's a prescription for Ritalin, he has ADHD.

Holy shit! A kid that doesn't pay attention in school! We better drug him up right away to fix this!

Patient: Well, Doc, my girlfriend dumped me last weekend, and on Monday my mom died. I can't sleep at night, and nothing seems fun anymore. I always just feel like crying.
Doctor: Sounds like a textbook case of depression to me. Here's some sample drugs.

Oh my god, you mean people actually get sad! We can't have that!

  4. This is kind of tough. Doctors took a good thing and went too far with it. There ARE occasions where certain meds are needed. There are people who genuinley have ADD, ADHD and depression. Not all of these people need the meds, but I think some do.

I just think it's gone too far. It's gotten to the point where the solution is more important than even knowing what the problem is.

I was on meds for a long period of time. My doctor perscribed them all. Eventually, I decided to get off the pills, and it was hell. It took me months and I was sick constantly. And I feel better off them. I still have the same symtoms as I did before I took the pills, but I know I can deal with it.

It's become the easy solution to just persribe.

  5. i don know cuz i got alota shit that i think i should be put on meds for n doctors never put me on anything because they ignore everything i say about wats fucked up wit me, i need to get a new doctor

  7. are you kidding!!!!!!! oh how i love the fact that most people in my family have become emotionless walking shadows of their previous self. god bless america and its fasination with being ill all the fucking time.

on another note. i do feel unusually sad right now. better call the doc

its all in your fucking head people and stop watching so much fucking TV. sorry your just not sick.

  8. Dude I totally agree....with what little of your post I did read. I'm high and lazy so lets leave it at that... :)

I dare any of you who still have grand parents living around to ask them if depression/add/ect (include 'retarded' as I'm sure that was a symptom and cause of all things odd back then) type things existed back then.

My guess is few an far between...people were too busy working their asses off for little pay in the depression to think of poor me poor me. Now it's gen y selfish pill popping loser who always expects to be paid more for less work.

If you've ever come across an IT tech with an ego and panic attacks..you'll understand just how pissy some of these gen y bitches can be.

Edit as for you black...lol TV is good in moderation. Like watching back to back family guy an american dad while you puff 2 j's...thats some good moderation and some piss your pants hurt your chest funny shit.

The next time I lock myself in my car...I'll just say fuck it an light up... ;)
