Hey BuildGreen , Yes , I guess you could say I swear by perlite, Since almost every soil and soil-less mix known to man has it in it ! lol , But I do like extra , for drainage and extra oxygen in the root zone. Happy Late birthday ! I work outside of growing yes. I can devote up to 4 or more hours a day to my grow, but usually only spend an hour or 2 a day at it. Some days more when theres a lot to be done. ` Update 10 : BK - Day 51 , Amnesia Lemon - Day 37 , Train Wreck - Day 39 Hey all ! All is well over here , another week of growth to report. Got some rooted Train Wreck clones goin on , I think im gonna flower 1 and mother 1 , not sure yet though. Bubba Kush is going crazy in the 15 Gal smart pot, almost ready to flower now. Amnesia Lemon is in a 3 gallon , bout to go into 7 gallon, really a bushy beast. Train Wreck is now in a 7 gallon smart pot, has been topped and trained , and is really a massive little plant. BKG3 is really growing at a very fast rate , already in a 3 gal smart pot, I think Im gonna flower a single cola plant for the first time, since its a fairly manageable size ! TWG2 rooted like crazy and went into a 1 gal smart pot, i think I will also flower this small clone, as Ive never flowered a clone before , Id like to see what its able to do going to flower so small. Ha-ha! I was scratching my head until I got to that line. Then it all made sense. You've been catching us up. Cool! Mine smells very much like cantaloupe. You can just tell that the Trainwreck wants to be a tree. So I gather that you target pH for that medium is 6.5 - 6.8. Is that correct? That Bubba Kush looks magnificent. The Trainwreck is the smoke report I most want to hear. For some reason, I always associate Trainwreck and Power Plant, and I don't know why. I did smoke some Trainwreck about a year ago and it did clean my clock in a very shit-eating-grin kinda way. Well, the guy said it was Trainwreck. And, of course, I'm rooting for Amnesia Lemon, the underdog, who seems to have come on really strong. She's breathing down Bubba's neck! Thanks, Franco. That clears everything up. I vote for small plants, by the way. 7 gallon pots did in my shoulder, which is as old as the US space program and is in about the same shape. Things are looking fantastic in here, Russy. You've inspired me. Your huge harvests in your last journal and some of your badass macros of buds, hash etc have me itchin. Im working on growing more time efficiently. Worked out a veg/flower system that will work for petual. We should be perpetual by spring. Should have some beasts to start outside in April. I'm def going to start verging larger and only going with two plants. These bushes here are truly inspirational. Youre a model grower....consistently successful but continually innovative.

Hoping all is fine ! I know what you mean about those big pots, The 15 Gallon BK takes everything I go to move around after its been watered... The 7's are a lot of work to , but I think the Big pots really help things, though ill be running some in smaller pots this go also to see if it really does make a huge diff. or not.. hehe, your awesome Alatar ! Bubba Kush got a training session on flip day . Everyone got a kick of flowering nutes on flip day as well. I got my 5 plants set for this run now , Big Bubba Kush in a 15 Gal smart pot, Amnesia Lemon in a 7 Gal smart pot , Train Wreck in a 7 Gal smart pot , TW clone (TWG2) in a 1 Gal smart pot , and a BK clone (BKG3) in a 3 Gal smart pot. Bubba Kush Day 59 Amnesia Lemon Day 45 Train Wreck Day 47 BKG3 Day 25 TWG2 Day 9 Its go time now ! Stay tuned for flowering !
` Well, I added some goodies to my room . First off, I added a 4" 140 CFM Inline fan for a cold air intake , along with that I have a cooling thermostat . It has made a big difference in room temps , from 85-89 Highs , to 76-78 Highs .. The cold air fan just kicks on when the room gets to warm , and turns off after its reached the desired range.. Its pretty nifty . So I now have (2) 4" Inline fans for intakes , and (1) 6" inline fan for exhaust . I also got a Digital TDS meter !! One of the last things on my "Ive always wanted" list ...... Its very nice.. PPM of tap water is 160-170 . So ill be able to keep better track of my feedings now, Ill post my PPM on my updates. INFO I run my warm air / ambient air 4" Intake 24 Hours a day on a Variable speed .. Set about 25% . It pulls air from the room and puts it into the grow room, that air is almost always 70 degrees. The other 4" Intake is pulling Cold outside air in , and only runs when the cooling thermostat kicks on , when the room is to hot. PICS
Love it man, where'd you get that cooling thermastat? How's it setup? I might need one of those when it gets colder here. Something like a thermastat that turns on the fan when the temps get too high. Oh and I'll edit this to make more sense in the morning

I am thinking about putting BKG3 into a 7 Gallon, its gotten pretty Big in the 3 gal. Also TWG2 in the 1 Gallon is needing watered almost every day , So im also thinking of putting it into a 3 gal. Getting the transitional phase out of the way , i think we will be in full flower in a week ! ` Update 13 : Flowering Day 12 : BK , Amnesia Lemon , Train Wreck , BKG3 , TWG2 Ok , We are back up to Date , in REAL TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!! (NOTE ON TEMPS & HUMIDITY : Avg. of 4 Therm/Hygro's in my room) Temps : Hi : 83.1 Lo : 66.7 Humidity : Hi : 47% Lo : 32% Nutrients : 850 PPM Transitional period out of the way , All plants either flowering, or showing pistols heavily. Im sure there is plenty of stretch still to come though . Bubba Kush is enormous , I cant even fit it in the pics , So its hard to do her justice , But for scale, remember she's in a 15 Gallon Smart pot, and sitting in a 2' X 2' White tray , and she dwarfs them both. Ive been giving her rounds of LST every 3-4 days, to try to even the canopy, shes over 4 feet across now. Starting to show some buds ! Amnesia Lemon is getting her stretch on , showing asymmetrical now, and a few pistols on all the main colas ! Very sweet smell, and light green appearance, reminds me of the Maui Waui I grew out last year. Debating on whether or not to LST the 4 Main colas that are sticking up, since there is more branches below them... Train Wreck hasnt stretched as much as I thought it would, but its already packing on buds all over the place.. No smell to speak of yet, looking forward to this one, Its gonna get Big I can tell ! BKG3 Is getting very large in the 3 Gallon smart pot , and since I didnt top it , Its got the classic Christmas tree shape... Showing some buds already , Its gonna be a nice one I think ! TWG2 is showing bunches of pistols, its gonna start budding up any day, Little thing in the 1 gal, haha , But Its kind of a test anyways . It will be fun to see the yields from this little clone. `
