Rush Limbaugh on civility

  1. I thought rush made a lot of really good points here. Most people wont even listen. They'll just launch in to their programmed responses.

  2. When did Obama approve of the new Black Panthers?

Why is he still on ACORN's balls?

Every single claim makes regarding 'civilty of the left-wing' has nothing to do with the other, so it's no wonder nobody listen's to him.

Limbaugh may think he's deep, but he's only a redneck in a nice tie.

  3. His justice department dropped all charges against them!

He's not, Obama is. Can you refute the example he gave? Nope!

They are all examples of the left hypocritically inciting hatred ands violence and then blaming the incivility on the people on the right who defend themselves. Much like Palin has been blamed for injecting politics in to the Arizona shooting, when it was the media who blames Palin for a week straight.

Nobody listens to Rush? Really?

Fitting that you end your non-post with a racial slur.

  4. that neon sign above his head looks like 2 pill capsules.. i bet he's jonesing..

  5. Programmed response #2243

  6. i don't think so...

i bet that very few people saw pills in that neon sign..

  7. Just saying. But hey, where I'm from, you could be brown, black, or yellow and still fit the personality of a bigot farm laborer.

  8. Yeah, you're just using racial slurs that you think are acceptable because they refer to white people. Another enlightened liberal I guess?

In Obama's speech at the memorial service he placed no blame for the incivility and accused no one. Unless there is another instance recently of him calling for civility that Rush is referencing that I am unaware of.

I find it very telling however that Rush gets so damn defensive about it.

    "Republicans are too docile" LMAO!!

  10. You know very well that Obama has said a lot of partisan (sometime violent) rhetoric over the last few years and hes gotten a total pass on it. Maybe not from Fox and Rush, but from the same media that now excoriates Palin and the tea parties.

Well, thanks for proving his point. The left lobs all these ridiculous charges and when the right defends itself from these charges, people like you claim they're being "defensive". Of course hes being defensive! Hes being accused of causing a mass murder!

They put up with a a lot of shit that Democrats, the left and their media would never accept.

  11. Rush is going on a rant about Obama's recent call for civility. Obama did not exclude himself from that call or claim that he wasn't guilty of it himself. Obama in fact used terms such as "we" and "us" which of course would include himself.

Except that a call for civility going forward does not mean that Obama is making any claims for one side or another. Rush's words were angry and defensive about a simple call for civility.

I could understand his points a lot better perhaps if he didn't begin the entire thing by using Obama's speech as a basis for his anger. Since when is a call for civility so damn controversial anyway? Honestly!

    Yeah.....oooookay.

  12. ACORN doesn't even exist any more.

The only people who give an credence or even a mention of the NBPP in media is the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. They are a red herring. They are never mentioned by the leftwing media, neither to condone or refute their actions or words.

Civility doesn't mean "not saying anything".

Civility means not calling your show "America Under Siege" for eight years when your candidates of choice lose an election.

Civility means not referring to the democratically elected Government a "regime" and suggesting that they are illegitimate.

Both sides do this. Obama wasn't speaking directly to Republicans, he didn't single out Republicans. He's calling for civility on both sides of the aisle.

But I guess I agree with Rush when he says fuck civility...

    So...

    Rush Limbaugh is a hypocrit.

He was (is?) a pill popper while condemning other drug use.

Tell me the person in this video is not on drugs. The flailing and bouncing. The sweating. The fact that he robbed Johnny Cash's warddrobe.

He tried to get on a plane with someone else's Viagra while on his way to a Caribbean sex party. And at the same time makes hay of the sexual dalliances of others.

Rush Limbaugh's Dominican Stag Party | The Smoking Gun

And who goes to the Dominican Republic for sexual tourism anyway? Child molesters who don't want to go all the way to Thailand, that's who.

He's had three failed marriages and is a confessed cat owner, so therefore he must be closeted homosexual.

Oh, I could go on, but why bother. OP will just go on listening to Rush, getting neck strains from all the nodding in agreement, while at the same time decrying when someone on the left does the same thing as Rush as MSM bias.

  13. You missed the point.

I don't think anyone said that he did. Rush wasn't even speaking specifically about Obama. He was talking about mostly about the media.

That's not what he said at all.

Nothing you posted has anything at all to do with the point he was making, which obviously flew right over your head.

Rush's "rant" wasn't just about Obama. Rush is angry because this is all a bit like a bully punching some kid in the face, then lecturing him on being civil.

  14. It's more like a bully punching some kid in the face, then the teacher lectures the class on being civil without singling out the bully.

  15. Except the teach was also throwing punches. I'm not sure how to work the media in to this analogy, but that's mostly what Rush was talking about.

  16. Programmed responses? The guy has the highest rated talk show on the radio. Millions of people who can't think for themselves love him, because he shapes their opinions for them. Not surprising that you're one of those people....

  17. I can defend the positions I take with facts and references. I also argue the points that people I disagree with make and don't rely on red herrings and insults to replace a good argument.

  18. You missed the humour section man this is politics:p

howdy.. JimiThing i do of course realize your 'Millions of people..' comment is directed towards Dronetek. But, the fact of the matter is.. who the heck has the time to do the leg work to find the stories that Limbaugh and his staff deliver?

Admittedly i do tune in on a fairly regular basis with the expectation to be entertained and informed.

There is a tounge in cheek element to portions of the program that some new listeners may miss.

The show does not appeal to everyone.

How can it, and remain popular?

Ok, now that i may have blown my credibility from here on out, let me say that i do not listen to glen beck, and Hannity's voice is like nails on a chalk board.

Now back to buying more gold, food insurance, and organizing my collection of non hybridized seeds j/k.

  20. So according to you, you only have high ratings because millions of people cant think for themselves? Not thinking for themslves? Do you ever stop to think maybe this man has millions and millions of viewers because he knows what he is doing and knows how to do it good? Ahh you funny jimmi. So are the millions and milions of people who listen to the beatles and jimi hendrix mindless mainstreem loser sheep drones as well ? or does jimi and the beatles simply make good music?
