I picked up a back up bulb at my local hydro store! Always was on the back of my mine! Any hps specialist out there explain how many runs can we do or let's say I run 18/6. 7 days a week? Oh my price $80.00?Ty in advance!! Sent from my VK810 4G using Tapatalk
By the way, you can definitely get at least 6 months out of those bulbs and really even longer, although brightness will go down some. I usually go around 8-9 months myself. J
Please re-title this thread "indoor lighting runs". I came here prepared to answer a question about diarrea
What is the best way to prevent anal seepage from extremely runny diarrhea? I know your around that age where your back in diapers but that's not an option for me yet.
Don't stretch it too far. I've seen a few people trying to put together setups with old lights. After a while they can't figure out why their crop sucks. They change the bulb and it magically wakes up. It's hard to tell when they're used up. They still look bright.
Very true. They lose intensity so gradually it's virtually unnoticeable. Still, 6 months and even 8 is fine for a brand new thousand watt HPS bulb. Much past that and you're shooting yourself in the foot. At a year you're probably losing 25% brightness - which is a lot, considering you're still paying the same amount of electricity. J
