Hey guys, this is my second attempt at my rubbermaid grow. my first attempt was a failure a few days after the little girl popped up through the soil. she was ak47 from dutch passion and she was feminized. this time it is a hollands hope seed, also from dutch passion, and i am having some trouble. my set up consists of 6 23watt cfls, 4 of them are 5000k and 2 are 2700k. i have been running them 24/0. they are in a rubbermaid bin, not the biggest ones you can get but the size under that. ive got one exauste fan that is about 4 inches in diameter and i just have a hole for intake right now. she is in organic miracle grow soil and i water once a day sometimes i wait two days. unknown ph but i have well water and i let it sit for a few days before watering her. shes been in there for about 2 weeks. ive got some photos that i will post so that everyone can get a better idea of whats going on, but she was looking great two days ago and then the leaves started to yellow. no wilting at all and i havent fertalized yet either. any sugestions are greatly appricated!
organic MG soil is known to be loaded with plant available nutrients including mammalian bone's, blood's, and meat meal's, as well as your occasional pieces of rubber band, plastics etc. This is good, however you don't want your seedlings in it. Id use a even mix of parts: vermicompost, pete moss, and hort. sand to plant seeds with.

I'm on my first grow also and it i have had trouble with overwatering... I have been told to let the soil completely dry before watering again... Mine turn a real yellow color and leaves started drooping
yea thats exactly what happened to my AK the last time but ive been trying to ease up on the watering for that reason. ive heard to let it dry completely also. thanks!
they look healthy from what i can see picture has no detail/blurry. yeah, think how small this puppy is. dont let it sit in water, it likes to go through the cycle of being wet and drying out. thats how the roots stretch

By the way i wouldn't worry about the MG soil right now. Not saying its the best but it will work fine if you feed correctly. If you ck my journal below the 2 plants i have in late flower were started and are still in a mixture of mg moisture control/mg organic. IMO watering those seedlings every day is too much...Burn One
thanks for that advice. I think having it on 24/0 lighting might be stressing it a bit as well. im going to go ahead and put some more 2700k 23 watts in there and take out most of the 5000k bulbs along with doing a 12/12 cycle from here on.
12/12 is for flowering just put them on 18/6 or 20/4 so they can get some rest. I grow with cfls 6500k for veg (i let them grow to around 18" before i flip to 12/12 for flower) then i switch to 2700k for flower....
i know its for flowering but ive seen a few good things so far about 12/12 from the begining or even after a week. im not set on it yet but im thinking about it.
Lights just came on thought i would post this photo....on the left is a plant i grew 12/12 from seed the one on the right vegged for 55 days.
About 16". Alot of peeps like 12/12 cause u can harvest sooner but i think u need HID lights to get the yield to make worthwhile. That was an experiment i tried....
im not sure which i like better faster or quanity, but how much harvested off of the 12/12. thanks again for the insight
