Routines: Have you had difficulty creating them, and how did you overcome it?

  1. Every routine I attempt to start, I do not follow through. Meal times, sleeping patterns, brushing my teeth, seeing friends/family for a regular get-together, meditation, writing a diary etc.

There is not a thing that I do daily in a routine way.

Anyone else been in a similar situation and actually made progress on it?

I'd just like to brush my teeth twice a day, eat/sleep/get up at regular times, and meditate/exercise a few times a week. Fuck knows what's stopping me, it's not through a lack of trying - my approach must be fucked in some way?!

Nothing un-constructive please, I know it sounds silly to some people, but it really bothers me and I really do try.

  2. I have this same problem, but i find that your only real problem is finding the energy to motivate you through that first little period. After that, you're constantly seeing the POSITIVE EFFECTS of what you did. For instance, i found it hard to stay motivated for dieting, but now the weight is dropping off me because i noticed myself losing weight, and then that carired me forward because now there's a physical benefit i can see, change that i brought, ya feel?

Sorry for the grammatical errors, high as fuck.

But yeah, do things where you can see changes. Improving at a skill, exercise, weight loss, any projects youve got, even normal routine shit. Also, joes goals, google it, you can have goals set up and every day you do a tick next to them, if you did them, and you get points. it sounds dumb but seriously, you will not want to break your chain of ticks! XD

    good luck
