Now that it is legal in Colorado and Washington can you smoke and do ROTC? I'm planning on doing ROTC when I go off to college and I always see "you have to quit" or "choose weed or army" If I had my mmj card could I smoke and do ROTC? Or if I went to college in Colorado or Washington? Any responses would be great. Thanks dawgs
I'm assuming they can pick and choose who they let in, correct? If so, I doubt having a red card will save you from getting kicked out/being denied.
Dude. It was 10 minutes.
Yea but its true as a general speculation
kids...remembering things like GC's forums but unable to dope out how the nations military will treat pot... you sure you will be able to handle college?
well, its still illegal on a federal level, so its really hard to say... you could ask them
How do you suggest I do that?
I was in the Army, and i can tell you, it's a very slim slim chance, Op. It's still illegal federally, and you're training to be an officer. You're best outcome would be them just not drug testing so you'd be good while in school, but doesn't protect you if you get caught. Idk, i guess it would help if i knew why you're prescribed mmj? If it's anxiety or depression, you may be sol.
Oh man ROTC has always appealed to me. The military just seems like a great experience in life. Morally and it would be a sick thing to be apart of
If you are going to college and you want to smoke on the side, then why waste time in ROTC? How about wait until you've graduated college and then join the army or something as an officer. For that, you will definitely have to stop smoking.
