    Noticed there wasn't a thread for Rosin pics or maybe I'm just too high to find it lol anyway so I figured I'd start one up.

    Hey typenn did you use a pressing screen? I use a 25 micron pressing screen to keep all the hash separate from the rosin. Makes it much easier to collect

    No I didn't,another blade was saying to wrap it in a coffee filter before I press it. I just used my girls hair straightener that had temp control on it. Where would I buy a screen a local headshop? Or online?

    Amazon.com: rosin pressing screen

    There's a link to a few, I rock the first ones the silk screens. But I'm gonna be getting the steel ones for my big press. I will say that the silk ones will burn and melt on too high of heat. I press at 300 F with the straightener as that's as low as it goes lol comes out pretty nice if I say so myself.

    Oh and make sure you are using parchment paper and NOT wax paper lol it sticks to the wax paper like crazy man. They also make "oil slick" now which is an alternative to parchment paper

    Took me a couple times to find the best method for me. I didn't really like rosin at first but I'm in love now lol working on building a big press

    It's a mix of just about everything I have, sifted on a 110 screen. A lot of Kritikal-K and a good bit of Cheese Candy a little Grape Ape... for the most part though probably. That was my first press, using a coffee filter which I guess is about 20 microns... stuff turned out pretty good. I have about 2 LB of this trim being run for concentrate, so I'm kind of stoked about that!

    Lmao GHG! It's all good brother! And Hellyeah dude! I sift my trim and run it for rosin a lot now lol stuff awesome and easy to make. Plus no solvents? Sign me up haha

    Rosin is the future!! I doubt you can get the kind of return as you might with a solvent extraction, but you keep a lot more terps! The stuff I get back from the concentrate runs is far more shattery than when I rosin some kief from the dry sift. I've only tried pressing a few times. Pressing buds seemed too tedious to me, lol.. and I heard this company was making rosin using coffee filters, so I figured I would give it a go. I have a few screens on order... burned a hole in my bubble bag 25 micron bag, lol.. Coffee filter full of kief worked much better for me, lol...

    Very nice man! And yeah I never press buds, I don't like the tedious ness either and the low return lol I've got some mesh screens on the way for the big press. Should be able to do some pressing this weekend if all goes well. I burned the shit outta one of those screens the other day lol had the heat up Wayyy too high. Lesson learned. Keep mine at 300 now haha

    Lol... Well I have some 25 or 50 micron metal screen type things, lol..., obviously the silk does the job real well! Your rosin looks awesome! But I always have grape and purple stuff in mine lol...

    I've been doing rosin for quite some time and have almost perfected my tech and I will post some pictures soon. You need to use an adjustable c-clamp to increase the pressure, mine goes to 300 lbs of pressure. The ideal temp is 240 and you can press for quite a while. You don't want to go over 250. This zone provides lots of terps with a very good return. Make sure your material goes right to the edge of the straighter so when you press, the rosin will squeeze out the sides and not be under the hot plates cooking away terps. I have gotten up to a 30% return with one strain of amazing buds so it can be quite effective.

    Welcome jimbo! And that sounds similar to what I do except my straightener only goes down to 300 sadly. Wish it went lower. I do 3 presses per gram of dry sift and typically the first two are very nice and the third is a little lesser lol
