  1. Where my reggae fans at? Big time fan of modern and old reggae. I'm lucky enough to say that I've met Jacob, Bobbly Lee, and Raf from SOJA.. And I even chilled with the dudes from Tribal Seeds watching Cheech and Chong before soundcheck. I'm into just about all reggae but who do you guys like?

  2. Bro saw SOJA a month ago LiVE!! That's awesome you met em!!

I'm right here mon. Been a big reggae fan for several years. Just yesterday I listened to Ziggy Marley's new album for the first time (it somehow flew past me when it was released) and I must say that it was great, definitely give it a listen.

So do you have any concerts/festival planned this year? I'm going to see Bunny Wailer next month and Snoop Lion in August (oh, the irony), should be awesome. Eventually I'll go to some festival if I can afford it, at least there's a local free festival this year were Swedish singer Syster Sol will be playing, she has some stuff in Egnlish too, check it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni8UbQnSn1Y

  4. Do not mention snoop lion as reggae. Listen to him all you want but it cannot really be called reggae.. I did like red light with eddie murphy though. If you can, go to Öland Roots! Thats where I will be this summer!!

I like all types of music and all types of reggae.
Here is some new artists I like:

Snoop is still a rapper to me for sure, but the album Reincarnated, which is what comes to my mind when Lion is used as the suffix, is what I'd label as a reggae album if I had to put a label on it. I do hope he has some of his old stuff on the setlist too though, I like him better as a rapper to be honest.

Öland is great, and they seem to have quite the line-up this year. But so does Scandinavia Reggae Festival, and both are in the same price level so the decision is not easy.

Ah, Ganja Tea is such a nice tune :D

  6. I guess if you need to label it something it is reggae.
I know, its a hard decision.
Scandinavia Reggae Festival does seem nice and it is nice to visit denmark but the tickets cost 1300sek for 2 days.
Öland roots is 1095 for three days and not leaving the country is a plus.
You could bring as much weed and other stuff as you need  :hippie:
You could probably visit christiania in denmark but it would be easier to bring my own shit.

I love old school roots reggae but there is always new music that makes my list  :yummy:
One of my favorites, still not tired of it

  8. I'm surprised at a lot of these posts, those are definitely some good tunes though. I've been digging a lot of the slightly newer acts that are starting to get big like Stick Figure.. HIRIE.. Also if you guys haven't checked out the new Tribal Seeds album, you gotta. That album is dope all the way through. I'll throw a video link down there too, not sure how to embed videos here..

  9. Stick Figure has some nice tunes.

Also recommend Ziggy Marley's New Album Fly Rasta - seen him live twice!! Awesome in concert !

  10. I love Fly Rasta, it's such an uplifting album. And Ziggy Marley is definitely on my list of artists I want to see at least once, until then I'll just listen to In Concert ;) But I can finally cross another artist of that list as I will travel to Stockholm this Wednesday and see Elephant Man :D

And from on Ziggy to another, let me recommend Ziggi Recado's new album Therapeutic, it's really nice.

  11.
Recado came out with a new album?!?!?! Getting it right now..  :metal:

  12. What about the CLASSICS? Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytals, Peter Tosh, Bunny, Black Uhuru, Don Carlos, Israel Vibration, The Gladiators, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, Third World, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus, The Abyssinians, Barrington Levy, The Congos, Mutabaruka, Dennis Brown, The I Threes, Mighty Diamonds, Steel Pulse...there is also new music coming straight out of the Caribbean like Midnite, Dezarie, Army, Abjah, and so much more...atm I can't remember much but search all of them, take it from an ex rasta who's now a Christian. Most people care about a good rythm, but reggae is all about the message. One LOVE!

  15. What site do u recommend for the latest reggae album news? It's hard to find a good one.. didn't even know about Ziggi album release lol.. I can find Rap charts and album dates but it's not really my thing y'know  :bongin:

I prefer Conscience Reggae over ANYTHING :smoking:  :smoking:  :smoking:

  16. @[member="RomanEmpire420"] I'm not sure about sites necessarily.. But if you find certain bands you like, for example SOJA.. just follow them on social media like twitter, instagram, blah blah and they'll post a lot about other bands and new similar music and stuff. It's a sweet community!
