I have been looking but cant find a definitive answer. On a YouTube video I was watching (one of many) using the cup of water method, when putting the popped seed in the soil the guy put a little bit of rooting hormone about an inch under the seed and cover it and then plant the seed as normal just under the surface of the soil. Is this worth it or not? I have my seeds in the paper towel as of this morning and will be hopefully transferring to the solo cup with Jiffy starter soil tomorrow. I bought some root hormone yesterday at Lowes and its the powder version. Maybe put a small pinch about an inch below or not? Or is it detrimental ? I would personally think a small amount would be a little boost but Im not the expert.
