Has anyone tried this or heard of it being tried using cannabis?
Starting out with a nice strong root sounds like it would be the basis for a strong plant and you are going to trash the roots anyway.

  2. Also, grafting a good stem into a root base?

  3. What do you mean by trash the roots anyway?

  4. Well, as far as I read it. 1 plant, 1 harvest. So what else would you do with the root?

  5. Well this is just speculation because I don't do much grafting, but I think grafting is more applicable to semi hard woods, hard woods, shrubs etc. because it is not as easy to clone/prone to grow new roots on its own.. I think you would have to have a somewhat same sized new stem to graft onto the existing root stock, which would mean a mature plant.. I know grafting is possible in tomatoes and it is used sometimes for disease resistance and things like that, but I think it's just overall easier and super fast to clone such a soft stemmed plant like cannabis that makes grafting kinda unnecessary...

I could be wrong though! Just a thought.
